loan deal?? no go. if want, buy outright.

Loan with option to buy might be the best for both sides.

Pool no need money to buy players in Jan but trimming wage bill will be welcomed.

Negotiation will continue. One thing for sure, Agger is leaving in Jan.

Fredy Guarin and Chelsea: Inter is waiting for official offer (15M €). His agent is in Milan to talk about it with Inter president.

Chelsea will be very active in the Jan window.

Apparently Alonso yet to sign extension at Real Madrid. However, sorry to disappoint some Pool fans, he is not coming back. Likely destination is the MLS.

Guarin not really a improvement over their current midfielders. ...

I rather jm give de bruyne a chance

They need a striker more than any other position,

But then, we are talking about Chelsea here. Rationality doesn't apply.

it'll b a pity if he goes. i still think that he is a great defender. esp when he can play how rodgers wants his team to play. sakho is terrible at holding the ball. always try to bring the ball forward...but take too long n then anyhow whack. sometimes even lose the ball halfway.

I think BR made it clear in that earlier interview. Although he values Agger's ability to start an attack from the back, he still wants his defenders to defend first. He also said Agger at times come short against physical forwards.

Agree with you that he is still class, and that's why they would want to cash in now. But the key issue is, there had been a fall out between him and BR.

Sakho will need time to get use to the pace of the game. Apart from that, he is a beast of a defender. Physically strong, great tackler. He has the making of a great defender. His performance against Spurs was assured and composed. If a papadopoulous recovers well, signing him and we will have a Papa-Mama central pairing which will be hell of a partnership.

Chelsea are close to agreeing the signing of Fredy Guarín from Inter for €18m. (Sky Italia)

PSG to spend a chunk of their January transfer budget on Juan Manuel Mata, according to reports coming out of France.

Gazzetta dello Sport: PSG would be willing to sell troubled attacker Jeremy Menez for 3.5m, they claim.

That ought to be the steal of the window if true.

Just been told that Liverpool have made a move for Menez. A pre contract was offered but PSG wants to sell him in Jan. There is a chance that Liverpool will take it up and sign him to replace Moses.

Mitroglou is close. Still no movement from his preferred team in Germany - Dortmund. £6.75m the fee to deal.

can't see him being first choice. probably just backup. not exactly robbie fowler or ian rush

Yes bro, back up striker. Looks like Aspas is going home.

It is believed that other than Napoli, the other offer for Agger is from Barcelona. Not sure on the terms though. However, it is possible that Pool will want Tello in the deal if Agger prefers a move to the Nou Camp.

This one really comes as a surprise. Many sources ruled it out previously but today, 2 confirmed it.

2 years contract with an option for third is offered to Xabi Alonso.

Sources are going at each other's now. Will update again

Wow it would be sweet if he signs. Although age is catching up, but I think he would be a excellent experience backup to Gerrard. Very much like how Gary Mcallister provided the much needed experience in the middle many years ago when he signed for Liverpool.
