Pool targeted 3 DMs. Fernando Reges and Blaise Matuidi offered pre contract on Nov as their contracts with respective clubs expiring summer 2014. M'Vila personal terms agreed that day he came for Everton match. However, no way through in the discussion with his club playing hardball Russian style. Then came the news that Porto wanting to cash in on Reges. Pool decided to act and likely to meet the £5m asking price. As long as we get either of two, I am happy. Pool's transfer target for this window more or less firmed up. Proven himself at UCL level. Chelsea hates him. Different from Aspas in terms of position. Aspas is more of a striker who can operate alone or as a support striker. Matic is Chelsea’s alternative to Guarin, but he would be considerably more expensive since Benfica is looking for 30 million euro for him. Paris St Germain and Manchester City are also interested in him. Before a recent Champions League match, PSG meet with Jorge Mendes who is acting as an intermediary in the deal. Manchester City took it a step further by offering Benfica Javi Garcia plus cash. The Portuguese club turned down the offer, since at the moment their president wants to hold on to him. So there is a chance Chelsea could return on Matic should the negotiation with Inter for Guarin not go through.
