would like to know how to further improve the braking distance. especially for those cases whereby you need sudden E brake..

 

everything is stock,

using bendix metal king brake pad.

tyre, bought this year

 

is it better to go for slotted rotor for this case?

 

I don't know if its a trend nowadays..

drivers like to sudden stop during bends, up slope..

high quality high performance tyres improve braking far more better than simi slotted/drilled rotors ...

It's better to leave a safe distance between your car and the car in front of you. It's free.

Yeah. Already doing that but inevitably, there will be panic occasions..

Try keeping the weight of the car as light as you can. Less inertia forces on the car would mean the car will stop earlier.

I'm using slotted now. Honestly, not much difference for normal usage. Difference is more apparent on the track under repeated hard braking. A more direct (and more expensive) way is to upgrade your calipers and brake disc. But again, I don't find it useful for normal driving. Best way is just to change pads and tyres. And if rotors are old, change to new ones (don't grind them).

I guess nothing much can be done, unless I go for bigger rotor and calliper, which probably involves upsizing of rims.

Just change a better pad. Tire play very big part too.
