Super7 Turbocharged February 23, 2014 Share February 23, 2014 I am very disappointed that people here are even thinking of scratching the offender old car that COE is expiring soon. We should not think like that. People should be more gracious and forgiving and just forget about it. And should just wait and see what new car the offender is changing to. on top of the 5 point praise!! Superglue his fuel tank cap if still got left over, squeeze it into key holes. onlystock Neutral Newbie February 24, 2014 Share February 24, 2014 That was a very big scratch to me. Anyway my rear bumper got scratched recently right before my eyes. I was agitated at first but the driver came out and made apology, exchanged phone numbers and offered to pay for my respraying. I doubted for a sec, but eventually he did transfer me the respraying fee. Count myself lucky..
Wrathchild156 2nd Gear February 24, 2014 Share February 24, 2014 Witness at a food centre last week. A lady ( @ 50-55 yo ) with a marketing trolley forcing her way between 02 parked cars. 01 of the owner was furious as a scratch / scuffed mark of 5’ at his driver front door. The lady simply ignore / bo chap him….( she is bloody ignorance – not wanting to make a 10m detour ). What can the car owner do ?

I know people are very gracious here and I am sure she will not hesitate to pay. To some people time is money and the fact that she won't even make a 10m detour means she has a lot of money and no time and will probably be happy to compensate the owner. No harm asking since don't ask, don't get. We all know that people care more about other people's feeling and money is of secondary importance to most people here. Thats why we always hear its not the money, its the principle that is important. Except for me, I always tell Customer Service people, the principle is not important to me only the money. Wrathchild156 2nd Gear February 25, 2014 Share February 25, 2014 From her body language – the driver will never get anything from her as the title indicate “ just a small scratch what !!!! “. Subject to my mood on that day – if from the initial communication no indication of getting any compensation ( most motorist will but non motorist will act blurr & bo sala attitude ) will lash out some words ( just to justify the monies & downtime time for the touching up paint job ) - as I’m a normal CREATURE being over protective to our rides… At the end of the day – ITZ JUZ ANOTHER CAR Ask her nicely if she would like to pay for the respray. People may tell me two wrongs don't make one RIGHT, but what the hack, the culprit is an adult but she has no regards towards others' properties, no need give chance to her, but do it within limits, that's all there's to it. After that, don't dwell on it any more. ↡ Advertisement
