Kingkong 5th Gear July 28, 2014 Share July 28, 2014 there is already enough conspiracy theory that why hamilton car always got problem and not rosberg ... muahahaha Yup, this season he very suay...Well, the team bosses will just claim its learning cycle for ham in a new team... ↡ Advertisement
Vega Turbocharged July 28, 2014 Author Share July 28, 2014 base on post race analysis, ros wasted 10 sec following behind ham before the last pitstop. if ham were to let ros pass, ros could secure 2nd (maybe even 1st) while ham will most likely end up 4th. from team perspective, this is the best to get max point. from drivers perspective, just let us race!! there is already enough conspiracy theory that why hamilton car always got problem and not rosberg ... muahahaha got lah. Ros had a DNF before while Ham secure 25 pts in that race.
Wt_know Hypersonic July 28, 2014 Share July 28, 2014 yeah ... 1 x DNF ... if not people think rosberg car is miracle and unbreakable ... got lah. Ros had a DNF before while Ham secure 25 pts in that race.

Rootkie 4th Gear July 28, 2014 Share July 28, 2014 (edited) Frankly, the team no need so mafan to give the order, just send a system reset signal to ham's car, and automatically it'll let ros pass.... This was not done before, but i'll love to see it once... This will tell the drivers who's the boss. Maybe send a small jolt of electric up the drivers bums until he respect the team orders? Ddqwerty 1st Gear July 28, 2014 Share July 28, 2014 regarding team orders, we are all limited in that we can't hear every convo from every team, therefore I feel we shouldn't scrutinize merc team too much, they now realized at this stage the drivers also will put their interest in front of the team's interest with the team already way ahead in the constructor's Cship. but another thing is there was no penalty for exceeding track limits or unsafe pit releases, I believe there were a few incidents
Tommisan 4th Gear July 28, 2014 Share July 28, 2014 Hungary GP was so exciting! It was just incident after incident. The lead car kept changing. A few highlights from the race; Vettel superb control from crashing his car, Hamilton relentlessness in pursuit for a solid podium finish despite starting from the pit, Alonso hard won P2, Riccardo hard fought victory against Hamilton and Alonso for P1. Hamilton was nursing a right rear issue. With a new car built overnight, it is already a miracle to be on the podium. The rain and the SC helped a lot. Rosberg was nursing left rear brake issue, I was surprised the team order came to ask Ham to let Ros pass. No way! Rosberg was never close enough. Bad luck for Bottas with the first pit stop. Riccardo was really fortunate with the first pit stop. I thought the second pit stop wasn't a right choice. Turned out to be the game changer. Without changing to the medium tyre for some and in combination with the rain and low track temp., it really helped Alonso to push the soft tyres for 31 laps. What a race!
Kac 4th Gear July 29, 2014 Share July 29, 2014 yeah ... but there is no reason for hamilton to give to rosberg as hamilton is faster rosberg pitted ... now he got 13 laps to show his skill to overtake There's no reason for HAM to actually SLOW DOWN and let Rosberg overtake just because he is slow. If ROS wants to overtake, he has to get close first. Was he in DRS range even? By slowing down, he would have to give up racing ALO.. And congrats to RIC, he has the showing of a WDC... Kudos to HAM for a pit lane to podium drive and ALO for bringing the Ferrari to the podium.. Honorable mention to Kimi for a good recovery drive too.. Gut feel it could be one of the last few races for Kobayashi given the Caterham $ituation..Given his car, I think he deserved a better seat than the likes of Gutierrez and Sutil. Too bad money talks.

Jumpmanz 5th Gear August 13, 2014 Share August 13, 2014 singapore grand prix is one of the most boring circuit ... pole to finish ... 99% there is no excitement in over taking and drs zone there is no excitement in racing between team mate or close rival simply because there isn't enough space in the circuit hmmm dont really agreed with that. over the past 6 years there's plenty of crashes and drama. got to take into account that it's a street circuit nature. If compared it with monaco, we definitely win in the overtaking numbers. personally involved in the past 5 GPs and i must say it's an honored. to be able to listen what goes on in the comms back to race control during safety car period is amazing. not sometime you can get trackside or from the tv. Vega Turbocharged August 19, 2014 Author Share August 19, 2014 Verstappen to race for Toro Rosso in 2015. Toro Rosso have announced that newly-recruited Red Bull Junior Team member Max Verstappen will drive for the team from the start of the 2015 season, replacing Jean-Eric Vergne alongside Daniil Kvyat.Dutchman Verstappen, currently in contention for the 2014 European F3 title, will become the youngest F1 racer in history, debuting at the age of just 17.“Ever since I was seven years old, Formula One has been my career goal, so this opportunity is truly a dream come true,” said Verstappen, whose father Jos made 106 Grand Prix starts between 1994 and 2002.“We are happy to welcome Max into the Toro Rosso family,” commented Toro Rosso team principal Franz Tost. “It’s great to see how the Red Bull Junior Programme continues to find talented young drivers and gives them the opportunity to come into Formula One.”After becoming karting world champion last year, Verstappen has made a smooth transition to the highly competitive FIA Formula Three European Championship, proving his ability by winning eight of the 27 races held to date.“We consider Max to be as one of the most skilled young drivers of the new generation and we believe he has the necessary maturity and mental strength to take on this challenge successfully,” continued Tost.Verstappen’s signing leaves Vergne’s F1 future in doubt. Having made his debut with Toro Rosso in 2011, last year the Frenchman lost out to Daniel Ricciardo on promotion to Red Bull Racing and this season he has been regularly overshadowed by rookie team mate Kvyat.Tost thanked Vergne for all his hard work, adding: “He has produced strong performances, but unfortunately he was also hindered by some reliability problems, especially in the first half of the current season.“We hope that we have resolved these problems and that he will be able to end the second half of this season on a high note and thereby show that he still deserves another opportunity in Formula One.”
