Wt_know Hypersonic July 27, 2014 Share July 27, 2014 (edited) well done ricciardo 1. Ricciardo = well deserved win 2. Alonso = superb driving, 1st podium for ferrari in this season? 3. Hamilton = hungry enough to defy team order, nothing better than this in view start from pitlane 4. Rosberg = due to the 1st safety car he lost several positions Edited July 27, 2014 by Wt_know

Kingkong 5th Gear July 27, 2014 Share July 27, 2014 (edited) well done ricciardo 2. Alonso = superb driving, 1st podium for ferrari in this season? should be 2nd podium, but 1st time 2nd... Ichibawa 5th Gear July 27, 2014 Share July 27, 2014 In the V8 era Renault has the upper hand and would be at a disadvantage with circuit that needs lesser power. Now its vice versa.
Wt_know Hypersonic July 27, 2014 Share July 27, 2014 (edited) rosberg's team should have called in rosberg 2 laps earlier to change tyre so that he got enough laps to challenge the top 3 only left with the last 2 laps to overtake ... the chances are slim hamilton did the right thing for himself if he left rosberg pass ... he will not go up podium ... hehe Edited July 27, 2014 by Wt_know
Rootkie 4th Gear July 27, 2014 Share July 27, 2014 Think Hamilton forgot Malaysia Gp last year or the year b4 where rosberg was told not to pass him? If he had let rosberg go, merc could have won the race instead of 3rd.
Ddqwerty 1st Gear July 27, 2014 Share July 27, 2014 I'm no fan of Hamilton, so I don't wanna give biased comments.. hehe. but its true that he shouldn't give up position if rosberg was so far back, why rosberg was so slow? anyone know? he could've easily caught up to ham imo, is it he wanna avoid the turbulent hot backsite of ham? but last lap the move ham made to prevent rosberg from overtaking him like ricciardo did was way out of hand (I am biased).. haha anyways merc team too greedy, want more points, hence the team orders, end up probably spilled bad blood between its 2 drivers
Wt_know Hypersonic July 28, 2014 Share July 28, 2014 (edited) rosberg brake overheat, slowing him down then tyre runout losing grip and not able to chase hamilton team order to let rosberg pass so that he can go to pitlane to change tyre on hindsight, he should have gone in 3 laps earlier to get more time to chase at the end when his tyres are fresher with better grip instead of waiting for hamilton to let him pass, might as well go earlier lose a few seconds and attack with better tyres (gain 3secs per lap) Edited July 28, 2014 by Wt_know
Spring Moderator July 28, 2014 Share July 28, 2014 I thought team orders were strictly disallowed in F1 so how come Mercedes could do it so openly over the radio n get away with it? Hamilton not obeying is besides the point n to be fair he was right as Rosberg too far back!
Wt_know Hypersonic July 28, 2014 Share July 28, 2014 (edited) team order is allowed liao because team use coded message like ... save tyre, save fuel, nico is faster, blah blah blah what is the point of disallowing team order in fact order is made right infront of the steward face ... sibei sia sui team issue order because they want rosberg = no 1 and hamilton hammertime to no = 3 (2 if miracle) as team of course they want 2 driver on the podium or at least rosberg on the podium for 1st rosberg bad luck because he passed the pitlane when the first safety car was deployed anyway, it's exciting to have several drivers close enough to chase for the championship ... now with last race double points 50pts > 36pts > 30pts ... it would be super exciting no champion is crown until the last race if the lead is not >50pts ... hehe I thought team orders were strictly disallowed in F1 so how come Mercedes could do it so openly over the radio n get away with it? Which particular new rules this season make this possible? Or it's just coincidental? Edited July 28, 2014 by Super7
