My mum prepare some teh bi teh to nurse the bite and also reduce the swell. Hi pal, My hse used to have same issue... Heartbreak when seeing the bites on my princess! In fact, the situation got so bad that I can close my room door and battle with them, killing at least 6-8 within 40min! U might wanna try my method. Step 1 Smoke the whole house with mosquito coils. I need it in the afternoon when nobody is at home. This process help to chase out existing mozzies in the house. Step 2 DIY insect screen window. I bought the stuff from a hardware building in Ubi. Cost is cheap, 3 rms, kitchen and hall cost me max $400. ( outside quotes easily $1.2k upwards) Step 3 Using all fans available to ventilate the hse. (So as to disperse the mosquito coil smell) Step 4 Stand by an electric racquet for emergency. I use every nite when reach home, before i sleep i will kill it cos my nose sensitive to smoke. if sleep whole nite with this burning, will wake up with running nose. mosquitoes r smart, they will come back after few hours so usually i will wake up at abt 4am cos legs will start feeling itchy i been trying a lot of ways to chase them away cos i live on 2nd floor. i have tried many products to chase them away, nothing is 100% effective. nowadays i spray mosquito repellent around my bed to keep them away but i prefer killing them instead of repelling them Hi pal, My hse used to have same issue... The rechargeable ones are so much more powerful. I have owned both types. The rechargeable ones are powerful enough to even zap houseflies. The AA battery type is not as powerful. Unitek 1st Gear March 9, 2014 Share March 9, 2014 I have the racket, 2 types of uv lamp, untrasonic, Baygon liquid that you plug into power point, sticker type and have even bought mosquito plants. So far, only the Baygon liquid and stickers works. racket : its fun to use but you will not like chasing msquito with it. It can be heavy. uv lamps : with and without internal fan. I find that with the uv turned on, it actually attracts MORE mosquitoes into my garden! ultrasonic : Bought them from Popular Bookshop. Have them plug onto walls in my kitchen and backyard. Frankly, I have doubt it they really works. But they do keep roaches out. That's good. Mosquito Plants : Nice smell but they wont work unless you squash its leaves. I suspect nearby construction is attracting these mosquitoes to our area. Have made a few complains to NEA and looks like situation has improved. Or maybe my repellents are working.
