The placement and installation of sensors - Quite well done, looks from the factory in my opinion. My car black colour leh, take photo cannot see anything one if so close up.

Both sensors are around 15cm below the headlights.. at the boomerang style bodywork of the front lower bumper, just at the bent of the boomerang [:)]

I see. Thxx.

There's 2 sensors on each side or just 1 sensor on each side?

There are 2 original sensors on the bumper like the pic below.

Similar position?

Nope. It's at the top bent of the boomerang bodywork on the front bumper. Around 10cm below our LED DRL lights.

Your pic sensor is at bottom bent of the bodywork. This placement of the sensor suggest the sensors like more keen to pick up blockage at the 2 sides of the vehicle. The sensors I have can pick up the sides as well as the front.

Edit: 1 sensor on each side

Okie okie Thxx I will ask them in detail when I go for my next servicing. :)

Sent my QQ 1.2 down to Leng Kee. They did a batt check and took about 30 mins to check the DVR wiring. I did ask the service advisor what is it that they are checking but his reply was that they just want to ensure the wiring is properly done.

I went down to checked and what I gathered from the SA is that some of the wiring may have clamp improperly such that the wires are being pressed when the fixture are put back. This may caused the copper wire to be exposed due to the hard pressing and may cause short circuit.

Sounds logical to me...

Hello,

I got my front sensor as part of deal when i bot the car. It was installed by a former TC contractor located in Ubi. the installation took an hour.

not sure whether it is the same if you bot from TC now but mine has the same led indicator on the dashboard.

sorry for the poor lighting as i took this yesterday night

Hi owners,

I've not quite decided on the leather colour to be done for my ride.(coming end of this month), can anyone post some pictures of their leather seats? Hope it will help me in my decision making.

Thanks!

All my previous cars all black leather interior because I wear a lot of jeans. This one comes with red stitching offered by my SE. Stock display unit with black leather in Tanchong Bukit Timah was grey/black threads.

Happy with it so far.

Nice, the stitches match the red trimmings at the two sides of the transmission console.

Hello Nissan833,

So is your front sensor position the same as mine ?

I actually want the installer to position it more to the side but they use a template to mark the position. so i guess they may not have a template that is closer to the side.

I do not want to risk it to have an unbalanced front sensors

Turbo & hybrid should be the way to go as IARC has confirmed diesel engine exhaust carcinogenic.

www.iarc.fr/en/media-centre/pr/2012/pdfs/pr213_E.pdf

looks like turbo engine is the viable alternative to diesel now that europeans have been told by their authorities that diesel is actually not clean. Which US, Japan, Singapore all along aware.

The 1.2T Qashqai delivers max torque 165 at 1750rpm which is within the useable range (1500 - 2000). Unlike most vehicles having to rev up to 4500rpm to get the max torque.

It always amaze me how most car owners just look at the max power and torque without seeing the rpm.

Didn't ask about that because didn't bother me.. only occasionally when you go to those busy streets with traffic jam then people jaywalk, then the beep may trigger if they walk really really close. If not, 1,2,3,4 LED come up also no beep one.

Mine came with a switch... placed just beside the ECO switch...

Em.. so there's different position of the sensors...

Nissan833 car front sensor was done at TC( @ ubi.... If i am not wrong),While M5m3 was done outside(though it was by former TC contractor).

Now the main question will be whether different TC SC will give different position ?
