I am not particularly supportive of Germany and certainly no fan of Argentina,...........but in all fairness I will be cheering Germany on simply because I am hoping to see a European country winning the World Cup for the first time on South American soil.

The National Council on Problem Gambling has defended its anti-gambling advertisement, which has been generating an online buzz since Tuesday night, after Germany's stunning 7-1 win over Brazil in the World Cup semifinal

- - - - if they had used a 2010 example ( Spain/Holland), the message would not have back-fired. Heard the ad made mention at an american talk-show.

I was thinking the same also, but then, its a good chance for people to watch 2 quality teams play at top level, at a presumably reduced price, which they could otherwise not able.

win or lose ... still get at least $20 millions [thumbsup]

whereas 1st and 2nd there is a difference of $10M

but $10M in the world of football ... really really smaller than sesame

FIRST PRIZE

The winner between Germany and Argentina in the final will get $35 million in prize money paid to its national federation, which can spend the money as it chooses.

That's $5 million more than the $30 million Spain took home from South Africa four years ago.

The runner up gets $25 million (up from $24 million in 2010), while the third- and fourth-place teams get $22 million and $20 million, respectively.

Its the Netherlands by the way, Holland is a region in the Netherlands, like England is a region in United Kingdom.

Anyway, the Netherlands is impressive, & produce world class star consistently, considered they have population of about 17 millions.

Not again! 10-1 in 2 games.

The playing field seems not level, hehe

Brazil misses a shot at Netherlands this morning.
