went try slphy 1.8 and teana 2L a month ago...
probably dun need the size of teana...dont like the bulky sheet metal at the 4 corners

how is the maintenance quality and price like?

New Sylphy comes in 1.6L and 1.8L. Previous Sylphy comes in 1.5L and 2.0L.

Nissan Slphy has 1.8, similiar to the old Altis with a 1.8 option. But the Slphy 1.8 and 1.6 does not have a big performance difference so might as well get the 1.6 and save the money

only diff i feel will be the better fc of the cvt vs the 4AT on the 2.0 camry, and the lack of side airbag and esp for the slyphy

as a mid-size sedan slyphy only 2 airbags is too less, and without tranction control, which is quite important safety function,

FC wise slyphy should be decent, my colleague used to drive a slyphy2.0, last year changed to Merc C200 due to lack of power

I find that Sylphy 1.8 engine is not as refined. Performance for daily drive is adequate but for a 1.8 is weak. Though the suspension noise over bump and thump are pretty muffled.

I am driving the older 1.5litre model..

Pick up not that strong.. But ride is comfortable enough.. Comparable to Camry. Servicing cost is very reasonable.. Sign up for the package about 1k that covers for 4 servicing.. Very good value.

Spare parts for Nissan is very cheap.. No need heart attack when time due for replacement.

I am considering replacing my ride with the 1.6 when it's due for change.

Able to share the fuel consumption (kilometer/litre) for the 1.5 slphy? Can travel how many kilometers when the fuel gauge touch the 3/4 mark?

In Singapore, many people will go for the 1.6 version. Big body small engine.

Just like teana, most will go for 2.0 instead.

 

Personally I prefer the 1.8....

Mazda 3 (latest) has the rear aircon. Luxury edition has 4 airbag and traction ctrl. U can go sgcarmart take a look at the festures list.

Then sylphy is the only choice.... And a good one... If it come with auto instead of cvt, I will consider... My current Latio has zero problem no matter how hard I trash it around... Hehehe....
