The poison starts with changing just a pair of speakers...and it grows on you fast!!!

What is wrong with the speakers? Just one or all of them? Could be bad connection or other problem, not necessary faulty speaker. Best to go to a trustworthy car audio shop to check it up. Usually no charge if no component replacement is required. There are a few with very good review that you can go to for further diagnosis of the problem.

You might want to call my freelance installer friend, Ah Meng at 97696215 to find out more.

He did up my full ICE in a MSCP. You might want to see the Facebook page I created for him under Audioniche. I am just helping him to gain more awareness in cyberspace.

Regards

Dave

By the way, he has some good price for the Morel Maximo and Pioneer 4 channel amp. While stock last...

Thanks for the PM. I am just helping my freelance installer friend as he is full time freelancer now. Since I dun have money to sponsor him to open a shop, might as well do what I can to help.

Hope you like what he has to offer.

The driver side speaker no sound and rear left side distorted. :/

Most likely HU is faulty if no amp is installed.

I went to Soon Lee Audio yesterday to resolve a sticky key issue with my I.C.E. The boss convinced me to replace the unit as the current unit had already been serviced twice for the same problem.

I ended up with a new Pioneer AVH-X2650BT. Total damage was $630, including installation. The installation was completed within 30 mins by 2 of his shop assistants. In my opinion, they did a good job on the installation - the cables were neatly tucked away, and they checked to ensure that the DVD, bluetooth and radio components were working properly.

I am not very sure about the market rate, so would appreciate if brothers/sisters can let me know if I got "chopped".

If you do a search in the Marketplace:

http://www.mycarforum.com/index.php?app=sgcarstore&req=listprod&si=Pioneer+AVH-X2650BT&cat=&car_make=&car_model=&model=

You will find a range of pricing.

I think $630 is the pricing from approved dealers that provide warranty perks, confirm local set and etc.

On other side, there is $480 ++ from PIs I guess..

For market rate, it depends on who you compare with...

Actually there are a few very remarkable audio workshop in Singapore,

I personally visit to Teck Yun at jln kayu there. Know the boss quite well also very nice guy with very experienced technician.

And also visit to Han Revolution, whoever drove Mitsubishi or love carbon fibre parts should know him quite well. The boss is very humble and friendly.

Know from friend that soon he getting a new market battery which quite well known overseas too.

If just changing of HU or speakers, just go to any audio shop will do.

If serious in upgrading, can try Dynasty Sound Craft but it will cost you a bomb, they turn your car into a concert hall...
