Spring Moderator March 5, 2015 Share March 5, 2015 Don't scare me leh, I'm paying the 1st hand car price, how can he sell to me as 2nd owner? If so, wat shall I do? Now I cant even know how to check did he buy open cat for me not..sigh..facing lots of problem with this PI :( Open Cat COE is transferable so you won't be considered 2nd owner. You can't check whether they have an Open COE or not cos it will be under another name. ↡ Advertisement
Vantivetech 2nd Gear March 5, 2015 Share March 5, 2015 Hi, need advise from brothers/sisters here, my PI has forgotten to bid last 2 weeks COE for me n yesterday, he told me no need to bid, he will buy from open cat. I'm so puzzle, y cheaper price he don't wan to bid yet go for open cat. How can I check that he has already bought open cat COE for me? Many thanks, the open category and cat A category has approximately $10K difference, this difference will affect their margin end day.... thus, if PI offers you open category COE, it would also probably mean he has sufficient margin from the vehicle transaction to buffer this. just grab it.... for as long as the COE has a full 10year life, you are certain the vehicle has never been registered :)

Bought under other name then transfer to me name, I still consider as 1st owner?

Blackyv Turbocharged March 5, 2015 Share March 5, 2015 Re-post.. Price of my EO when I purchased in Feb-14 @ Giant-IMM.. For reference. actually, that is expensive, i was pampered by $9.90 many years ago (so, for M1 anything above $10 is no go for me).. and the latest trend is buy from amazon.. why dont you buy from amazon? very safe, wide varieties, and cheaper not to mentioned free delivery (above $125).....
Spring Moderator March 5, 2015 Share March 5, 2015 (edited) Huh, don't really understand. Bought under other name then transfer to me name, I still consider as 1st owner?COE is under another name but because it is transferable, it will be tfr to your name first n then they will use the COE to register your Vezel so the car is 1st owner-you. Don't confuse the COE n the car. Also FYI, only goods vehicle category n Open category COEs are transferable. Cat A, B n D (motorcycle) COEs are not transferable meaning once COE is bidded under a name it cannot be transferred Edited March 5, 2015 by Spring
Andyngps 5th Gear March 5, 2015 Share March 5, 2015 The agent told me that they happen to have ex stock but only white colour. All inspection done and ready to go. Just need to secure the coe. Somehow this ex stock comes fitted with the audio control from japan. If it is ex stock why do you need to pay 1k bro? Anyway congrats! Wah. Last time ex stocks are always blackie...now its whitie... I see it as paying a 1k premium to get my ride in a week rather than waiting for the usual 3 months delivery time. They bid the coe for me in the same week. Since mine is a guaranteed coe without top up, I guess the 4k increase in coe seems to cover the 1k premium I paid. anyway my current ride is going kaput in May. 3 months wait means 1 month without car. So all works out pretty well so far.. hopefully all is well when I collect my ride.

xxLIM 1st Gear March 5, 2015 Share March 5, 2015 Can anyone verified if the white vezel, supposedly comes with a glaze/coating followed by wax from japan? And after they de-wax it and touch up can deliver alr. This suposed glaze/coat can last couple of years And also easier maintenance?

Alvinnoob 1st Gear March 5, 2015 Share March 5, 2015 yah, i understand certain things are beyond the PI control as long as they willing to be there and walk you thru the issues faced by us. I need them to be at least responsible and sincere on my case. last I heard my delivery date may delay another 2 weeks. Double whammy.. Sold my car and im going to be carless till the new car is here. Any car rental lobang? Cheap and reliable? Bro, why you didn't take up trade in offer to PI? When you sold car yourself hoe much difference was the price?
Spring Moderator March 5, 2015 Share March 5, 2015 only Cat e is transferable. if a car is registered under cat a, then you will be second owner. transfer cannot be done immediately. there are some restrictions. For bro XDD33, his PI will be getting an Open Cat COE for him ie Cat E n I was replying based on that context as he was worried he would be classified as 2nd owner of his new Vezel which is obviously not correct as the Open COE is transferable to his name.
