Yup, think all of us signed on the same weekend, the only difference is bro 2015Mazda5 and myself got the coe on the very first bid whereas you got it this Wed. Hahaha, it will be gracious if they could throw in the front/reverse camera as a gesture of good will for all of us who had signed but had not gotten our ride. lol

Did your SE said when your ride is ready for collection. Mine is slated on the last week of Nov!

Planning to do the following tasks after collection:-

 (a) installation of front/rear camera;

 (b) installation of Tyre Pressure Monitoring System;

Will shelve the idea of HID/LED lights conversion, thanks to fellow bros who alerted that its illegal. :a-good:

Will like to find out hows the sound system in the M5, is it bearable? Asking this because i spend an average of 1.5 to 2 hours on the road everyday....

Haha... but anyway, front cam already thrown in. Thought it's the norm? Reverse cam also will come with the car too. Rear cam not required as I'll be recycling my current car cam as rear cam.

Going to shift my Alpine speakers and amp, and Pioneer subwoofer from my current car over to M5. Will also be upgrading the HU to Pioneer AVH-X8750BT and my installer will install a toggle switch to overcome the video-on-motion restriction, which he has been doing so for my past 2 cars.

Aftermarket HID/LED headlights are definitely illegal. Halogen lights are actually good enough, especially during a heavy downpour as yellow lights won't scatter as much as white lights.

Most likely. That time was informed nov/dec. Personally I think the sound system can be better. Doesn't have a great bass and a solid sound mix. It's decent for point a to b: but if longer hours and audiophile need a better system . I saw bose system for mx5 hehehehe. Sound proofing will be good. I wonder what is the cost for a good sound system upgrade and sound proofing??

Wow wow weee! Impressive follow up. Good idea to get a solid set and transfer use. I didn't even bother to remove my old car cam. Come to think about it should have remove and use for the new car.

Congrats Weewee1976 on getting your COE.

I was looking at the promo for Mazda on the Straits Times earlier. It seems they are running a pretty good deal for M5 at the car show.

116k for test-drive unit and additional freebies such as 1 year of road tax, front/rear in-car cam, overhead display for rear pax. Pretty impressive deal..... Too bad i already signed on the paper 3 weeks back. lol

Test drive units have issues with their fuel consumption. 1 brother here is experiencing the issue. High petrol intake causing lower mileage per full tank. Not sure why and whether it has been rectified or not.

I tried today on 100% city and it was recorded 10l/100km with avg speed of 21km/h.

That's pretty good already. My current Stream can sometimes yield at best 12l/100km if on 100% city.

Hi, Mazda 5 owners,.

I just booked last week for Mazda 5 at Leng kee with Guarantee COE (open category)

I use S$1k petrol to offset S$1k top for 2 bid guarantee.

The final price at S$119,888 and offer free solar film, 3 years free servicing + Pioneer Car audio/GPS / front -back camera

This is same as per SC mention at Expo . Overtrade for my  old car is paper value +S$1k.

I want to know whether SC is honest or not.

I heard if you ask your friend to buy, there is $200 voucher referral scheme .

Is this correct or you guys know better offer.?

Yes. If you refer someone and that someone successfully booked and collected his car, you'll get a $200 petrol voucher. That person needs to put your name as referral.

Book already nothing to say. SE told me deal close cannot ask already. Use the last weekend sales promotion as reference.

Anyway my personal feedback is after sales service is not supportive. Quite disappointed.

I believe it's like that everywhere else. What to do right?

Oh... I have another update. My car collection is scheduled on 27 Nov.

It was stated in the notice. Btw, my meter showing 9l/km currently

I just opened a letter from police yesterday and surprise surprise, I was let off with just a warning for the speeding ticket! Didn't even send in any appeal haha! Wonder what made them waive off the fine and demerit points... [confused]  My notice didn't show the speed I was travelling, but it did indicate that I was between 1-20Km/h over the speed limit. Maybe I was just slightly over the limit hehe!

So I'm still looking around for wheels and I came across this 17" SSW Forged Gunmetal rims from Stamford Tyres.

They look almost exactly the same as these Rays CE28 Titanium Silver rims.

Would like some opinions on whether these would look nice on my white M5, and how reliable are SSW rims? They quoted me $1500 inclusive of CSC5 tyres and installation. Apparently this is the discounted price, do u guys think it's a reasonable price or can ask for lower? The rims are really lighter compared to other non-forged models (I compared the weight at the shop), so I assume they are really forged, but I doubt they are as light as the original Rays, though this isn't a problem for me since I'm not gonna be racing in them  :D

Any views would be much appreciated!

SSW is a good brand. I used them on my previous car and have no issue. However i recommend to fork out more for Rjays as they can be sold in the 2nd hand market. also they are lighter and more durable. The design is nice though.

I overtrade my old car by 6K + scrap value. That time i think they are aggressively trying to sell more cars.
