101k is good deal liao..now with lower Coe cat b, still 110+ bec of stupid no value add ves surcharge.. It's just another govt trick to make car prices so unaffordable to achieve their aim of car lite, at expense of people needs..govt is for themselves, AD for profit , car owners ownself die ownself problem..

no more 101k, last i checked it 115800, more than mz6!

Notwithstanding the Borneo motors mad markup for the equally old wish, I'm basing the M5 value over the past few mths, after the ves surcharge. Purely basing on Coe price movements, I dun corresponding decrease when Coe price went south..as a bro said recently there's no correlation between the car price n Coe price. So I like to know where the difference went to.. I can only think of their increased margin.

Yes, M5 w skyactiv 2l engine is better than the old one ,w sliding door to boot..I sit in one almost daily in my colleague M5. It's good car, but unfathomable price

As mentioned, corresponding decrease won't be significant since the margins are alrdy squeezed, in addition to VES.

U can do a quick comparison between wish n mazda 5 under sgcarmart.

Premium for wish is estimated at 45%,

Whilst M5 premium is only at 29%.

The current car I driving now is 10% margin over car price (excl Coe).. 29% already high, 45% is robbery..anyway, I've got my target n not worth to get now w increased margin.. no value

Thanks very much! Very detailed info for comparisons! Just for pts 86 to 90, the dates r only 1 day apart, any reasons why?

Nevertheless, this is great info for comparison to current car price , at much lower COE but incl new VES surcharge..n it's less than 2 yrs difference..

Neutral Newbie

I traded in my Mazda 5 for a good deal at the recent Singapore Motorshow.

I still miss my white Mazda 5 which is a very good family carrier.

The specs are good like twin power sliding doors, Skyactiv engine, 6 speeder (not CVT) and rear independent suspension (not Torison beam), sunroof.

The above specs above are something which u may find all of these in any other medium size MPV in the market

I have shown and shared the video to a few other earlier Mazda 5 owners from FB Mazda 5 Singapore late last year.

I have deleted it eversince TEK has replaced the doors motors FOC.

Any Mazda 5 owners who face this problem can take down the video asap.

The jamming occurrence will persist for about 20 seconds.

Sufficient time for your to grab your handphone and jump out of your driver seat to record it down.

Hi. May I know how much u trade in ur M5? And u change to what car?

Hi. May I know how much u trade in ur M5? And u change to what car?

Traded in my Apr 2016 Mazda 5 @ $84K (after much bargaining from $81K) during the recent Singapore Motorshow.

Got myself a BMW Gran Tourer 216i.

I was at the Subaru booth which is my 1st pitstop randomly asking for a trade in quote for my Mazda 5.

The middle aged SE refused to give me a quote at the start, with the first statement " You will lose alot".

Only when I insisted, he went to back stage and made me stand waiting for close to 20 minutes, and quoted me $78K.

I used this Subaru trade in quote as a benchmark.

Thanks for the info bro..

Me thinks BMW got margin to let u trade in higher.. I'll take Ur trade in price as a benchmark for similar aged cars.. btw, ur Mazda 5 is std or deluxe version?

Back then in 2016, all Mazda 5 are sold in 1 edition only.

All comes with leather seats and Pioneer HU (with aftermarket GPS).
