Anyone has encounter sliding door jam issue?Β

Β

My two year old Mazda always encountered intermittent door jam, has to switch off and close it manually.Β

Β

feedback to the service officer for past 3 servicing, but he always mentioned is due to lubricant dry out, Singapore weather and I use one side door more frequently, which i not convinced with his explanation.Β

Β

The service officer attitude not good as well, as well, insist as long as computer diagnostic passed they will not entertain, and i'm not the only Mazda 5 owner

Β

Yes, we experience it also. Ours is 2.5 years. Not often but once in a while. Maybe like 1-2 times in a month? I am also wondering how to solve this issue. :(

Sorry to sidetrack abit but would like to share something here,

Β

Just received some simple accessories that I got for my ride (bought from Aliexpress):

1. Car key cover for Mazda5

2. Mazda5 rubber mat for storage compartments, cup holders

Β

Cheers [drivingcar]

Β

Dang, I have been hunting high and low for a key cover that has the correct sliding door buttons... Care to share the links?

Β

Should have read further before I jumped on the reply button... Thanks for the links... But too bad it's "no longer available". [bigcry]

Dear M5 drivers, which workshop do you go for your car servicing? How much do you pay for a 10 k servicing? I just finish my servicing package with TEK.

Thank you all

Well true point but... Mazda stacks up for reliability and safety with Honda and Nissan neck to neck.

Β

Key Point: Any car can last with the right care and maintenance

Β

But Mazda has good value and they have improved A LOT since the early 20s.

Im actually looking at the MAZDA3 s Grand Touring 5-Door hatch. Looks sexy

Hello all,

Am considering Mazda 5 and took a test drive today. It’s smooth and runs well.

But I heard from the agent that the car may be discontinued soon. Does anyone know about this and the implications to parts availability? Am a first time car buyer so being extra cautious.

Thanks in advance for any tips and guidance.

Actually spare parts I would not worry since it is serviced by AD. If I were you, I would quickly buy this car before it is discontinued. Where to find such value, such space and good handling? I was given an old Toyota Wish (previous model) to drive once, the handling is like 0/10.

I recommend Monster Garage. They follow strictly to Mazda's servicing schedule. Just went there for 40k servicing last Friday. Total cost only $200+ (replace EO with Mazda's 0W20 oil, original oil filter, Liqui Moly brake fluid). If go back AD, easily at least $440 (according to their service package)

I've been hearing Mazda 5 being discontinued since I bought the car in Nov 2015. But till now still selling. Rather, Biante is being discontinued instead. However, rest of the world is not selling Mazda 5 since 2015 and recently Indonesia just launched Mazda 5 (AD there also Trans Eurokars). So don't think about whether it'll be discontinued but rather whether the car suits you and you like it or not.

went to see the car over the wkend. while all looks ok, the plastic dashboard seemed a bit cheap n outdated to me. the whole interior looks outdated, not helped by the single color black. almost like my cheap 8yrs old proton.

You're not wrong. The current Mazda 5 was first produced in 2010 and that's 8 years ago. The only difference now is it's using SkyActiv engine coupled with 6AT that's all.
