Its very dangerous to leave the engine running at a petrol station.

Thank goodness someone drove the potential fire hazard away.

Even in Singapore I pump myself and lock the car before I go pay. Even when uncle pump I stay to see finish then I lock and go pay. Actually not because scare someone steal car but rather scare someone take my cash card hahaha

another benefit of making sure the uncle finishes and put the nozzle back (this will cut off fuel until reset/paid up at the cashier) is to make sure some thief won't take the nozzle from your car and pump in their bike before making off with 'free' petrol on your account.

long time ago i've witnessed this done to another motorist.

Totally agreed, whether it is staged or genuine. Absolutely a good educational advise for those who travelled to Malaysia regularly for leisure or work assignment.

isn't just locking the car after opening the petrol top-up trap-door secure enough?

The reason is simple. this is a habit brought down last time when I owed a 06 audi a4. when u lock the car there is this little stick then stick out to lock the petrol cover. so if you lock while the cover is open (the stick is out), then there is a change the blur uncle may just break the stick when he close the cover. so to avoid that I do myself.

This video looks fake. Looks like being staged. I don't believe that such moment can be captured so coincidentally at the right moment unless it is a security camera.

1 the driver requested to c e footage since got surveillance cam.

2 petrol boy refused coz no police report.

3 petrol boy go c e surveillance footage himself

4 petrol boy record the footage using his HP

5 petrol boy upload to social media, then laugh at sinkie.

Can never understand why drivers takes such risk. After so many incidents, people still dun lock their cars... allowing for these sort of things to happen,... worse when there's a small child on board !

Jus being lazy and complacent. One can never be too careful,.. even in S'pore.

I think the camera is mounted on some pole,.. and looking at the surroundings,... it was raining hence there might be still some wind blowing,.. so this might explain why the camera is shaky.... possible?
