Maybe the counter recorded those coming in and out and then coming in and out again, repeatedly :D

Is this deliberate?

2,600 are Pink Dot members and the rest 23,400 are curiosity on-lookers (kap poh) & shuttle bugs watching and clicking away ....

Lucky never held on Sunday, imagine plus those bangala on-lookers (off day), it will be 46,000 ... [sweatdrop] , just like them bird watching at Palawan Beach ... [:p]

When they also wear pink, the combination of black-white(grinning teeth)-pink will look sensational or weird, depending on your taste!! :D

This is just a biggest gathering to exchange phone numbers and contacts among the LBGT, that used to be held in secret and much smaller turnouts. Now they bring it out in the open.

Even 2,600 also consider a lot! Imagine there are 2,600 L/G in sg?

Everybody got the right to screw whatever type of hole they want. just don't demand this demand that. I am wary of any group with the word "right" behind.

Wish there are more crowd at the CPF talk than this. I guess sex is more important than retirement money lol.

From Wiki...

The largest and most thorough survey in Australia to date was conducted by telephone interview with 19,307 respondents between the ages of 16 and 59 in 2001/2002. The study found that 97.4% of men identified as heterosexual, 1.6% as homosexual and 0.9% as bisexual. For women 97.7% identified as heterosexual, 0.8% as lesbian and 1.4% as bisexual. Nevertheless, 8.6% of men and 15.1% of women reported either feelings of attraction to the same gender or some sexual experience with the same gender.[10] Overall, 8.6% of women and 5.9% of men reported some homosexual experience in their lives; these figures fell to 5.7% and 5.0% respectively when non-genital sexual experience was excluded.[11] Half the men and two thirds of the women who had same-sex sexual experience regarded themselves as heterosexual rather than homosexual.

So if you take it as approx 2.3% of 16 - 59 are homosexual / bi

If all 26,000 at the event were homosexual - that would give you a domestic population of 1,130,434 between the ages of 16 and 59 - which seems entirely plausible and realistic

From the article

She added that it is ultimately up to heads to determine what teachers should teach and that staff with concerns should try to reach a “mutual understanding on the way forward.”

However she underlined that teachers must act in an "un-discriminatory manner"

and also

Mr O’Neill concluded: “If the teacher refused to obey the otherwise lawful instructions of her employers then this would constitute grounds for her dismissal from employment.”

As the potential law hasn't even been enacted yet, let alone the impact on primary schools discussed I can't see much wrong there.

Note also - in a general sense what is being said makes pretty good sense - after all, you wouldn't let someone teach racism or sexism based on conscience or religious objections would you?
