Need opinion on changing to mark x

I'm looking at a new mark x but with 1st gen 2004-2009 & 2nd gen 2009-present, it seems that the life-cycle is 6-7 years and the last thing I want is to end up with a EOL 'new' car. Does anybody know when will the new mark x be released?

As long as you like the car, what's wrong with EOL new car?

No immediate need to change now so if new model is coming up in 1-2 years' time I'd rather wait for new model, at least it'd last me for some years before my next change.

You answered your own question. Once you tot up the sums for a 10 year old car, see what else you can get, brand new for the same outlay, and ask yourself it it is worth it.

Renew 10 years COE cost $47K + $20K (existing parf) = $67k

+additional Road tax = $16K for 10 years. 

total = $83K

 

Worth it? Any view?

If you think worth it, then worth it but if you think not worth it, then not worth it lor... What's so difficult to decide.... Hehehhe...

Did u factor in the +10% - + 50% for the road tax from 1st to 5th year for the renewing? If u asked me I still think high omv car not worth to renew.. Depend on yourself how much is high to u..
