kssg777 1st Gear October 7, 2016 Share October 7, 2016 only CEVS rebate (not surcharge) is deducted from Parf (scrap) value after ten years. CEVS rebate is just like HDB rebate given to you ... when you sell the unit.. u have to return back to the authority the rebate given to you initial. CEVS surcharge is you paid additional fee ( FINE) to drive a higher exhaust reading, non environmental friendly vehicle.
mrhan1982 4th Gear October 7, 2016 Share October 7, 2016 As usual busy fri morning when I sent in my fxt for servicing. It's quite scary to see the huge number of foresters at tpy service centre and a huge number of foresters waiting to be collected in the holding room. Finally got rid of the crappy shell helix engine oil and fill up with motul 300v for my 10k service. Engine feels more livelier now. ;) it's a bit costly as need to top up $75 for that.

Muser 4th Gear October 7, 2016 Share October 7, 2016 I thought non-maintenance free batteries coming in a new car would be unheard in this day and age!Same for all current Subaru models, I believe. Definitely so for Legacy BN9 and Outback BS9. Shake head.

Goman888 1st Gear October 7, 2016 Share October 7, 2016 I thought non-maintenance free batteries coming in a new car would be unheard in this day and age!No la. I also asked the SE during last year car collection time... the SE told me this is MI standard.... ask me to use until the battery dead then change. Today when to petrol kisok and want to buy the battery water. The uncle help me to check and told me don't need to add battery water cause all within the full limit. Not sure what else I can do or just replace the battery ?

In fact I think MF batteries actually have shorter service life.
Sarion 4th Gear October 7, 2016 Share October 7, 2016 (edited) My Forester 2.0 L just reached 1 year and weeks. The blackvue 650 come with the car don't have enough power to operate after engine is power off (referring to the parking mode). Worst when the car started the next morning the camera didn't wake up at all. However I noticed the GPS LED light is enabled. I got to remove the power cable from the camera and plug back after few seconds in order for it to work. I suspect the car battery is below 11.8v! The car is installed with the old battery model that need to add battery water. Not sure if adding the battery water will help to improve the battery strength. Hope bros can advice. Thanks. WML888 2nd Gear October 7, 2016 Share October 7, 2016 i believe your BlackVue internal battery/capacity is kaput already... I do not trust this brand FHD model after 2 tries... last warranty replacement I actually asked to be downgraded to a HD model which at least is working fine even now for the lens, but battery also kaput after abt 2yr plus... how do I know? cos the camera won't stay on for the full overnight in carpark under Parking Mode, while my front camera Itronics still going strong. Non Maintenance free battery can actually last longer than Maintenance free batt. I never have to top up the OEM battery water cos MI will sort that out for u during your servicing. since u probably wanna keep your 3 or 5yr warranty and will continue to service at MI, just leave the battery in until they recommend you to change bah. I've got maintenance free batteries from AMARON, HANKOOK and even BOSCH S5 died/limp after slightly over a year of usage. I think the heat in the engine compartment shorten battery life.
