For xt first 1k servicing, do you top up for motul engine oil?

Also, should use 5w30 or 5w40 on xt?

Same question for FNA too...plz don't forget us :)

front 240 rear 230

Thanks...assume.normal air and not nitrogen as I was reading in USA they use nitrogen

Should it be different for FNA on stock tyres? I recall SE said 210-220 which sounded low.

I drive XV but I suspect the above are the correct tire pressures.

Look at the sticker on the driver side door frame.

Highly recommend to follow what is stated for the weight you normally carry.

Note that these are cold tire pressures - haven't drive yet or at most drive 1 km.

Stick to the correct pressures and the Subaru will handle very well - esp. over uneven ground.  You can speed over it and the car just drives through without jumping and car control is still excellent.

That's why you can see youtube videos where Subaru car can drive like a rally car at high speed on gravel or earth road - e.g. start from 0:21min in the video below

Ask 5w30.

That's is what subaru recommend.

I think there will be more scratches when car goes on the road and in carparks... so i wouldn't bother with a scratch on bumper. .

Ask 5w30.

That's is what subaru recommend.

We can ask but we will not know what they use as most workshop area are out of bound to owners..

I pump 235 front 225 rear when I drive to Caltex every week and I find I can feel all the road bumps a bit too obviously already, cant imagine punping 240 to 250. The roll is better though and acceleration seems better.

On scratches I am looking for those that fill up clear coat scratches rather than those that "sand" it off thus reducing the cleae coat...any recommendations?

I used to pump 230kpa all round for my stock bridgestones on my fxt and i could feel the bumps more compared to my new michelin primacy 3 @ 240kpa all round. I've tried 240-250kpa on my old bridgestones before and it was quite unbearable for me... The type of tires play a big part in ride comfort. gonna try 230kpa all round for my michelins. Nowadays, ride comfort takes no. 1 priority over anything for me.. getting old ...

Anyone tried X-mode yet? Currently doing some off-roading in msia, was descending down a 30-45 degree slope with X-mode on and the front brake was screeching away. Not sure if that's normal...

Never try before off road yet. But try before on some steep local multi storey car park when no car behind.

It is normal lah.

Also you can check some of those youtube post when they test it, same .

If you have never bring tire pressure down to the low pressure officially recommended (see below), then should try at least once.

You will find car very stable at high speed and over rough ground.  Wheels will stick to the road without flying up and down so contact is there all the time.

Fuel consumption may even improve because car can maintain its momentum and coast very well under such conditions.

Note: These are cold tire pressures - car haven't start yet after parking for some time or have traveled less than 1km.

Above tire pressure is for older version of Forester.

For current version, still the same - which is 220 Front and 210 Rear.

Same here, tried x-mode on multi storey car park ramps. Brakes are not 'screeching'. Actually the vehicle is applying the brakes like during 'anti-lock' to maintain the vehicle speed as the weight of the vehicle will increase the speed when going down steep slopes.

Did any Bros new ride faced car drifting left issue or Steering Wheel not centered?

I just took my new ride and found car drifting left. After checking it was not unbalanced tire pressure, I sent in to MI on the 4th day for wheel alignment. Mechanic did not believed me and he went out with me for a drive to confirmed. Drifting issue was addressed after they did 4 wheels alignment. However, now found steering wheel not centered. While travelling on a straight road, the Steering Wheel is positioned clockwise about 1 to 2 degrees. I did not noticed the steering wheel off centered as I was trying to drift the car straight all the time during the last 4 days.

Want to check with bros here are all your new rides Steering Wheel perfectly at 0 degrees on straight road?
