How to prevent car from being stolen.

Recommended Posts

I was told not to install these alarms as they can make the car less secure instead. Most conti cars got their own alarm system or immobilizer already.

But conti car u smash their window alarm nvr trigger lol

This best way install shock alarm and high end remote alarm that will notify u if car got ppl touch.

Then u can activate loud alarm to chase the robber away

you install any in yours ?

Yes thats why

Conti cars think slightly harder for thief to start the engine. So most probably either break window or rob the driver and drive the car away

I think go in buy a fake Malaysia number plate and install on your vehicle. The thieves wont steal seeing a Malaysia number plate.

They will still steal if your car is in demand. It doesn't matter malaysia or Singapore car. But I feel they target singapore cars cuz their security usually more relaxed. Malaysians know what to do to deter the car thieves already.

my 2cents. as most of all has said, steering wheel to left/right, steering wheel lock. and also know where you going to park. if you have feeling that area you going are not safe to you, better dont go and park there, find somewhere safer. and park your car at more crowded area. avoid perling mall, and if you want go Jusco tebrau, i guess park near the entrance, as for now, the carpark si new, not sure how many story now, its all mult story, not like last time, where there is open air. not sure whther the other side still have.

last thing, when you going to find place to park, look out your surrounding first, try just drive around and see anything suspicious, like malaysian bikers roaming around the carpark looking around on cars. anyway thats what i do most of the time.

Remember that your car is worth 6 digits nowadays. Hence you should be taking the appropriate measures to protect it, and they should be in line with its value. You don't use a cheap lock on your house door, right?

just make sure you you're willing to lose your car if you go Malaysia, so don't leave shopping vouchers and other valuables in it. and make sure it's fully insured.

then, park at a safe place.

then remove a fuse from the fuse box in the engine bay. preferably the fuel injector fuse or starter motor fuse.

if the thief wants your car, they'll have to tow it.

even when it is towed to their safe location, they will take some time to find out what's wrong with the car.

If you bother to make an effort to prevent your car from being a target,

1) Park head in

2) Turn steering wheel full lock

3) Install steering wheel lock

4) Install anti theft lock connected to the brake pedal and steering wheel

5) Put a pig head on your driver seat. May act as a deference to some races. No offence please.

6) Remove air from all 4 tyres. Have a tyre inflater on hand

7) Run a chain each, between your wheel spokes and use a lock to lock it

8) Spray water soluble paint on your windscreen

Potential car thief sees this type of car, already sianz 1/2.

Like that might as well go rent a car..... kena stolen insurance daichi....  else remove 4 wheels, steering wheel, wind screen, car seats, engine, headlights, car plate..... [laugh]

Just park next to a Toyota and a Honda.. You will be safe.unless you drive a Toyota or a Honda

But then they steal the Honda and Toyota and burn the others how?? [rolleyes]

Dont understand why Sporeans still wanna risk theor car being stolen by driving into Malaysia. The government there honestly doesnt look like they give a shi* to whats going on. Please dont be penny wise and pound foolish. Until they clear up the mess in their backyard (aka the security issues and crimerate) , I urge everyone to avoid that country like a plague.
