What car was that? I am just scare that 205/55 R16 will rub against the wheel well of mazda 2 when driving or turning. I am on now on 195/55 R16 tyres.

 

Hi, any comments on your 195/55 R16? I'm intending to change tyres soon, now looking around. 

Drove into one tyre shop today, the guy see the car he straight away said don't have now, have to order. I said it's ok, I know. To be expected. Need to wait about 3 weeks but he can take in 185/60. But to widen my choices, I want to see if 195/55 is possible, or even 185/55. Thanks.

Fyi my 195/55 R16 is not on stock rims. No issues so far for 195/55 R16(on non-stock rims).

You may consider order from tyrepac 195/55 r16. Best alternative if on stock rims. 185/55 is way too small.

Almost everywhere said have to order, which is ok for planned changes. But one day if meet with emergency really damn sian. 

Seems like JB prices are quite good for 195/55. Usual story, have to order.

yes like i shared earlier replies, mz2 stock dimension tires are a PITA to get...

 

if you have ordered and waiting ok...

 

cause i previously ordered from a good brother's tire shop in jurong area..

 

he had only 2 pc but sourced immediately for another 2 a few days later.. ;)

Driving a courtesy car as my car is in workshop and returning today don't want to be caught out. I took the car with the same fuel level but immediately pump so can't tell.

Hello, is there any difference in fuel consumption after you change your rims to aftermarket ones with 195/55/R16? Looking to change the rims to aftermarket ones too when the tyre is used up, but loving the current FC. So Would like to get some inputs from the seniors here.

Don't expect much from the car distributors.

 

I believe yours are Toyo Proxes, very good tyres also use by Porches owners, but too skinny.

Take this opportunity to replace those skinny tyres.

I fit mine with commonly available 205/55/R16, no problem even when fully loaded with 5 adults, very steady and stable !

Cater 10 - 15% of the total fuel tank. That shd be the amt of reserve fuel. But tat doesnt mean u can use up this remaining fuel. The car system interlock will kick in after sometime when ur running on reserve fuel, to cut ur engine totally. Edited March 12, 2019 by ashtaichee

Iirc mz2 hb is 44L tank..

 

I drove to 0 before.. and pump.. still can pump in 39+L... So reserve at 0 is 4+ L... Good for 50-60 km... If u want to push it.....

I am still loving this ride as its usually just me and the Mrs in it. It provides a good drive and there is the sports mode for you to have a little fun when you need that higher rpm driving.

 

Maintenance is just like any Japanese car. Easy, affordable. So far been driving it for 3 years and no issue.

Haven't experienced any and hopefully none in the next 7 years. Sometimes I get a bit of jerking at low speeds especially in car parks but I think it's my driving style where the car can't tell if I'm going to accelerate or stop and gets into the wrong gear. No stalling or anything like that. 

 

I read some people have experienced gearbox issues but the cases are very few. So it seems this 6AT is still a decent gearbox.

I see... then have u been to any workshops for your oil replacement/other miscellaneous works besides going back to TEM?
