I'm using iphone, apparently, it has been upgraded. Q7 is good enough IMO...

I actually only want my cam to record when I start engine , worried it will drain my battery plus I parked in pte estate which is safe and travel often for a long period .

 

The mechanic , instead set to record mode even at engine off , until it detect battery at 12.4v and will cut it off.

 

With this setting, is it safe or my concern is valid ?

The cut-off helps to preserve the batt. The recommended min is 12.3, so your installer is already more kiasi (which is good for your batt).

 

But this ultimately still means the cam will drain your batt (as compared to if dun have parking mode) a bit.

 

If you really are concerned about the batt life and want to maximise it, plus feel there is no need for parking mode, then you should go back to your installer and ask them to rewire it to no parking mode.

 

If you want to leave it at parking mode, then what you can do, is that when you travel for long period, disconnect the cam from the power cable. Then during that period, it will not record, and also not drain the batt.

Yes that what he suggested too that if I am leaving for a long holiday , disconnect the camera 

 

In fact he has a point that these days, most people are concern about hit and run , while no one inside the car , so it is advisable to have it record while parking ....

I’ve been using Q9 with Transcend Premium 400x 128GB for a year. Recently I find the video footage plays at fast motion momentarily and randomly throughout. But the IROAD 32GB records and plays fine.

 

Either the Transcend sdcard is damage or the firmware update may have caused this. My car is parked outdoor during office hours. Heat may be a cause too.

 

I like to know which brand and model of sdcard (128GB) you’re using as I’m planning to buy a replacement.

I have tested on a 64GB Samsung Evo. Notice there’s a slight lag but still better than Transcend with random fast motion.

 

May give it a try on Samsung Evo plus. Thanks !

I have my iRoad for 3months, until today I noticed it only have event recording mode, which mean it record only when there is a shock, normal recording cannot be found, weird, and the light on the cam is always RED, is it normal?

Just installed iroad. I noticed that the parking mode records at 10fps only. Any idea if there is any way to set it to 30fps instead?

Truth be told, V9's 'chocolate-bar' frame factor is longer than T10's; while T10 is more extensive. 

 

T8/T10 shape factor was never answered to have warm issues. 

 

Regardless, in the event that you think V9 is more some tea, at that point put it all on the line before the costs climb no matter how you look at it. 

 

For instance, 

 

AA is offering T10 @ $390 this month, the cost from 1 April 2016 would be $430 and 

 

V9 (Season 2/2016 Version) @ $380 this month, new cost one month from now would be $420.

i have just install the iroad q7. the view from our hand phone for font camera seen ok but the rear view show the reverse like the left side of the road is show on the right side of the the handphone view which i talk to the installer but he say is like that. is the correct can someone please adv me

 

another good reason we get this Iroad q7 bec they provide a added features like the alert for the lane change .. warning for the font impact etc which is very useful but i later did i realise we have to purchase external GPS which i also did so as to get all the thing right but it dont seen to be working 

 

all i realise is some very soft funny bee sound which i dont know what is the alert about that really pizzle me '

 

please enlighten us as we think it suppose to be userfriendly

Just installed x9 recently. Did not notice if the rear view in app is reversed but reviewing the video on PC is definitely not reversed.
