Anyone is using Q7? I’m trying to enable to speed on the recording but seems the app does not have any setting on this? Hence all my videos of travel are 0km/h.

From what I know, you need to install their GPS then can see the speed.

Yup, I didn’t bought the device and aware that such speed monitoring device needs an additional component. The cost is $35. It consists of a cable with a small piece of attachment to be installed at the corner end of the windscreen. I think I will skip this.

Their cams don't have built in GPS unlike other brands, hence, need to buy separately and install. 

 

I'm considering to get it too after my friend was involved in an accident recently. He was alleged of driving in high speed and therefore, contributed to the accident by the other driver. Fortunately, no one was injured other than damages to both vehicles. He needs not explain much anyway since his cam recorded the speed.

I'm using the iRoad brand, it's the smaller capacity of the 2. 

 

Good enough for my needs since I drive daily.

My 3week old Q7 installed by my PI is beeping - not recording and turn off cam to protect car batt.

They installed Iroad V9 S2 in the car but there is no parking mode since KM doesn't want to do it cause they don't want to cover warranty for the battery.

 

Is there any place where I can go to do up the parking mode? Also I understand that it is preferable to have a battery pack installed. Anyone has any installer to recommend?

They have the list of authorised installers where you can buy the battery pack and the shop will install for you.

I actually also have camers for top and bottom of my car, so that I can see whether got cats hiding below my car and which bird shit on my car

 

But no seriously I think front and rear would be basic nowadays. Rear I think is quite important especially at carparks, you don't how some people can kena your car during coming out from their lot in parallel parking or when some lots require you to head in so your front cam is useless to see the "front".... and in an accident, having a rear cam sometimes can give you a more complete picture of what happened before and after.... but it can get very expensive to install "branded" cameras front and rear...so I usually try to go for unknown brands which users have tried and tested to be realiable... I am using one I paid $300 bucks dual channel and using for close to 4 years now.. but changing soon....

Hi all Iroad user,

 

I search the whole forum but could not find similar encounter.

 

My "more than 1 year" old V9S2 was working perfectly, using Sandisk High Endurance SD Card (for more than one month).

 

Than, need to go oversea for 3 days, scared drain car battery, so I pull out power cable.

 

Came back from oversea, plug in power cable, lady voice say "card is damaged and cannot be use".

 

panic, I tried Iroad original 16GB card, also same error message. Quick & Long format Fat32,  using Iroad software format, all same error message, sometimes after recording for a while.

 

My worst fear came true, any Bros has a good suggestion?

 

feels like throwing the unit into the sea to reclaim land.

ADAS feature need extra parts, if not default unit don't have ADAS like my X9.
