Sharp returns to Singapore mobile market with two new smartphones

SINGAPORE - Japanese electronics firm Sharp is making a re-entry into the Singapore smartphone market after two years of absence with two new smartphones slated for release at the end of this month.

Sharp is eyeing the mid-tier smartphone market here with its Z2 and MS1. The Z2 is priced at $399 while the MS1 will cost $299, with both offering high-end specs despite their affordable pricing.

The Z2 sports a deca-core processor, 4GB of system memory, and comes with a 16-megapixel rear camera and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera.

Actually I thought they are already bankrupted already. Surprised to hear them back. The last Sharp electronic goods I have was a B&W TV with a cabinet built in, can lock up also. :D

Windows phone? You want them go out of business ah?

I actually liked the WM tiles thingy and the Nokia form factor when it was launched.

But in the end I still went Sony-Android.

They got bought over by a very rich and successful company called Hon Hai.

You may know them better as the makers of Apple phone Foxconn.
