Car knock by motorbike

I have seen BOLA barometer of liability before but never noticed anything with regards to the part where the car is 100% wrong if the motorcyclist hit you anywhere except the center.

 

This, to me is quite nonsensical. I mean there could be scenarios whereby the motorcyclist is dreaming and didn't paid attention to the car in front etc

 

Please check with the workshop or your friend insurer to find out more. Best if he has video evidence. 

 

Lastly, do share the information here for everyone's benefit.

 

he doesn't have a rear cam. submitted claim to the rider insurance but was ignored for more than a month. They don't even bother to contest.

But if got rear cam, also 50-50

Friends car was rear ended by a MY bike while waiting behind a double white line. Damage was not too bad but ambulance was activated as rider was sub conconsious from the fall off the bike.

TP reports was noted on site and cam Sd card  was handed over for reference. Police report made online too. 

Advised friend to self repair for 2 reasons :

1. Don't waste time on MY vehicles, especially bikes. 

2. Need not compound on rider's misfortune as repairs bill is probably few hundreds bucks. 

 But I learnt something from my insurance associate that cars and bikes have different sets of rules, even though one is rear ended through no fault of his/her. 

A biker can claim medical from the car in front and there are buaya that lurks in hospital that will assists injured bikers to do so. That's where the importance of cam footage comes in to adsolve one's liability where possible.
