thanks for the promo code, but my fibre still tied to a contract so cannot use this codes for now.

btw, how did you guys find these promo codes?

I got from phv drivers app. CL sends promotion regularly to certain groups. I believe that's their way of doing business. They also don't check when you sign up, if you're from that targeted group.

At one time, I had a few extra accounts due to newer promo price getting cheaper and comes with more data. So I terminate those older ones. CS try to dissuade me by giving me more discount during termination, but I've already got more so I decline. 😃

I wanted to save money. $30 was too much for me, so I ditched SH fibre 500MB, after many years. Since my usage is mainly internet, browsing and tv, I hop on the SIM router journey.

I started with a cheap 4G router, then moved onto 5G. Jump around from eight, giga, gomo, Simba, then found CL with promo codes. I had Simba SIM data only, but found 300GB is not enough.

So now I'm settled with a $6.50 CL, 4G, 1TB, as 5G didn't make much difference for my usage.

IMHO.
I have not tested yet but I think 4G in a 5G router offer better performance. 👍

We would expect better and more powerful chipsets in a 5G router. But whether a 4G SIM performs better in a 5G vs 4G router, - not sure.

I was on Singtel 1G fiber for many years, recently they called me for upgrade to 2G for the same subscription price. They bundled a bunch of mesh APs, free Singtel TV which I don’t use and have to remember to unsubscribe later. They didn’t change the ONR which has only 1G LAN ports, so I know will be limited by that. I plug my APs and PCs to separate ports to make the most of the 2G fiber uplink. However, things seem slower and speed tests now show download maxing out 500M but uploads can hit almost 1G. I suspect that maybe more people are on the 2G network?

After Googling for solutions and using the Singtel chatbot, nothing works. YouTube did recommend the following song 😀

Anyone any feedback for Simba broadband?

If currently on Starhub, any idea if change of router is mandatory?

Yes. For Starhub the router is hard bundled. If you dont want the router and have your own router, you can go for Eight.

Kns their Hp simcard de speed sucks.. now the virus go over to their Home fibre.

At one time, while driving in Jurong East area, my phone on Simba internet just went dead. I thought it was bcuz they were upgrading 4/5G or something.

I thought they would have fixed whatever problems they have. But it seems like they are not completely fixed.

So I expect we could experienced more.

And that reminds me why I migrated to eight and Circles. I couldn't afford the downtime.
