Hi all, have a worrying concern. My car (1.8TSi) has jerked twice so far at low speed (car suddenly jerked over hump and another time in a multi storey car park). Any advice on this issue would be deeply appreciated. Car is coming to 4 years old and 47k mileage. Thanks

Sounded like a mechatronics failure symptom. 

Hope your warranty is 5 yrs.

@Hamburger  Yeap mine is 5 years warranty. Mechatronics is covered under warranty and will be replaced FOC right? If not jialat…

But i heard when you test the Car with the Advisor,if the ''Jerking'' don't surface,they won't do anything.

Thats the importance of going back for routine servicing until your 5 years warranty is up. 

 

Some would say its expensive compared to outside workshop. No doubt, but it's an assurance that's worth paying for.

Hi all, back with another question. Anybody here driving a Passat and experiencing creaking noises when going over bumps on the road. I suspect it is coming from the sunroof but have no way of verifying. Anybody experienced this issue before and know how to solve it? Thanks!

@cth_ yes I had an issue. Initially I thought it was the suspension mountings. Did multiple test drives atVW and the issue was finally traced to the exhaust mounting/bracket. The mech said have to take out the whole exhaust to straighten. Covered under warranty.

Wah jialat. This sound that I'm experiencing now is different. It gets more apparent after parking under the sun, and it is coming from the top of the car instead. It's as if the metal components expanded under heat and are brushing off each other in the sunroof area.

Hi, my B8 Variant (4 years old) noticed oil stain on the floor and low coolant alert recently. This morning I sent in for 75K servicing and confirmed oil leaked from engine and coolant pump needs to be replaced. Luckily all covered under warranty. So far, anyone has such issues within few years and is it normal for turbocharged car to have oil leak? How about gearbox? Anything I need to take note before my 5 years warranty? Thanks.

Agreed..nice to drive...that is why VW sold so little Cars nowadays...compared 10 years ago...because many Owners won't buy VW again.
