Worst interview moment?

Once, I came for an interview with 2 gentlemen. One guy got really mad when I asked him things like, "How do you describe the working culture here? How do you see yourself as a boss? Since you've been working here for xx years, what do you like most about working here? ". haha. Needless to say, I was glad they didn't call me back. They actually looked creepy and mean, so I was just testing the water since I made the trip down.  The guy actually said, You can't ask such things bla bla.  [dead]

I had a candidate come in for a second interview to ask what is the job about and what role is he applying for..... give up ......

Maybe it lies on how one interpret the questions. Many times the JD given, and what the interviewer described are totally different, not talking about actual work is also always different. My favourite question is to ask them to describe an actual work day, or ask them to tell me what the real challenges that come with the role, or what exactly the problems this role supposed to tackle on.

I hate it when they treat candidates like they are begging for a job.

Then they will always complain, cannot find any good staff these days.

If they really wanted to know why they should just look in the mirror.  [thumbsup]

haha.... yea. What makes you think they want to find "good" staff nowadays?? This is one of the most naive thing people can still think nowadays.  Somebody told me, most of the times got head counts, so just fill. As long as the number justifies, who cares. Some teams I work for, out of 8 people, only 2 really do work. I know, you know, everyone knows.

That's right must read the interviewer. Not all are looking for good staff

a lot are looking for "yes" men. To get the job I always pretend to be a

yes man until I am confirmed. Then they find out I am actually a woman

that likes to say no.  [thumbsup]

:D

Out of 8 got 2 workers is actually very good. The worker has a fren to help him.

Most of the time out of 8 only got 1. The poor guy do everything and not

even 1 person help him.  [sweatdrop]

You go out drinking on a Friday night and hear all your frens

complaining about their boss and work.

I never do that.

Why wait for a Friday night when you can do it during

working hours on a week day here?  [thumbsup]

The problem with this is that, the second interview was 5 days away from the first interview. The first interview lasted 2 hours where the JD was discussed and explained to death. He basically asked for answers to the same questions he asked during the first interview

Either he has a bad memory or he is a complete idiot.

I am not sure who wasted their own time more.

The interviewing company staff or the candidate.

Its hard to say really. But too many interviewers

waste their own time but always blame the poor

candidate.

If you are too capable the hiring manager will see you as a threat.

If they are looking for a yes man, just pretend to be one.

Works for me.  [thumbsup]
