Secured my COE on Wednesday and collecting my arctic white 1.2T Qashqai this coming Thursday.

Am looking forward to learning and sharing on this Forum.

 

While waiting in anticipation, I edited the 2014 promo video (on YouTube standard license) and did up a EDM on the QQ...

 

Decided too, to name my ride, WhiteCap...enjoy.

My first post here and after much considerations after reading up a lot from this forum thread, I placed my deposit for QQ last Sunday but did not get the first bid today. Hopefully 2nd bid can make it. QQ 1.2l and 8 bid NG. Long wait ahead.

 

 

Booked a Pearly White QQ1.2 Dig-T Premium at LK on 21/9 with 8-ng but could not make it in time for a bid on that same day. SE said Guaranteed COE need to add 3K more but also said no need to get it. Confident of getting without g. Saw the coe for cars fell. Hopefully bid goes thru on 5/10. What are my chances, you think?

anybody knows where is the power cable for the dashcam connected to in the fuse box area behind the glove box? the cable got detached when i was trying to replace a blown fuse and my camera is no longer working.

Any recommendations between rschip and racechip ultimate? Does this kind of tuning box really reduce fuel consumption? Will it post any issues to the car?

 

Hopefully can get the coe in the next few bids as was outbidded in the first bid last wed. As this is my first car, appreciate advices from senior here. :)

Infratint solar film

Opti-shine pps

Replace with stebel horn from aestmod (read from here)

Carboot tray

ECU piggyback like racechip ultimate and tdi mounted in engine bay with turbo boost and rschip plug into obd socket without turbo boost (less effective for 1.2 turbo engine) are primarily NOT for FC improvement but for better engine performance with increases in Nm torque and bhp power. It changes air-fuel mixture by leaning it, change engine valves' opening and timing, up the turbo pressure (except rschip and it is most effective aspect ..hence fun part of turbo car) and manipulates gear timing (rschip).

 

Please note both types with or without turbo boost are likely to void warranty and hence bros will remove them before service appointment at TC.

 

Hope this clarifies but realistically, the 1.2L is already quite unresponsive during pick up before its turbo maxed out at about 1.8k rpm and how to reduce FC with eco mode or any such gadget ?? As such many bros fitted ethrottles like pivot drive, racechop response, free power etc. with user settable degree of response to get to this 1.8k rpm sooner ...ethrottles do not increase torque or bhp annd are left unremoved with no known concern on warranty.

 

Last but not least, city driving will see 1.2 with FC of 7-9km/l and highway driving can see up to 15-17km/l with typical overall depending on city/hway ratio and hence can be overall 9 to 12km/l.

 

Yes, 1.2L sucks at city driving but can be explained with the fact that it is a puny 1.2 engine struggling with a 1.3ton body before turbo max out at 1.8k rpm ..hence only way to have better FC since city/hway ratio is dictated by the trip is to be very light footed and increase speed gradually which is not acceptable to me and hence I installed ethrottle and simply dun care and enjoy the ride ..haha !@
