Finally ditched the 1. 4T EA211 engine and use the newer 1.5T evo engine.

Power and torque delivery is similar though.

Such a big car 1.5T can move or not.

The Karoq 1.5T already take 9sec to 100km/h.

Heard 1.4 in the current kodiaq is underpowered. Maybe 2L is a better choice but confirm more expensive lar. 1.5 in my current karoq I feel is still ok.

Regardless the o to 60 sprint, my ex sorento of 10sec still way ahead of others with just a tap on the pedal.

either I am fast or others are simply too tardy.

Speed is relative. If you are comparing with 2.0L turbo variants, 1.4L / 1.5L is by no mean fast (even with sub 10 sec 0 - 100 timing). But comparing with car running on non-turbo 2.0L engine such as CX-5, Forester, RAV4, etc. the entry level Kodiaq still perform better.

And not to mention there are other SUVs running on 1.2L - 1.4L turbo engine, such as Q3, X1, 5008, C4, etc. which most have 0 - 100 timing of ~9 to 10 sec...

I test drove both the 1.4L and 2.0L Kodiaq and none feel fast to me, cos the bench mark is my 2.0T Sharan with sub 8 sec century sprint timing. Have to say the new RS is quite tempting on paper (technical specifications). Will test drive when the car is in showroom.

My 1600kg+ AWD SUV 0 - 100km/h take 7s ++, so anything 9sec+ will be slow for me.

Lets do a group test drive 😁😂

But with current COE price, RS selling price will be out of my budget.

Diesel engine always felt a lot faster than spec.
