Voodooman Supersonic December 29, 2016 Share December 29, 2016 I hope you are doing some trekking while there, not just a flight over Everest. There are some short treks if you don't have time. One of my favorite destinations.
Philipkee Twincharged December 30, 2016 Author Share December 30, 2016 The pictures by description.1) early morning flight to everest. This is where we boarded the plane.2) A view of everest from the cockpit. Not easy to make out everest cos there are many peaks and it is not easy to say this is everest unless you are focused on it or climbing it. This view of everest was pointed out by the pilot.3)views from window seat4)due to bad weather we were diverted to pokhara for a while so I took the opportunity for some pictures.

shutterbox 3rd Gear January 1, 2017 Share January 1, 2017 If TS is already at Pokkara, can do short treks from there. Poon hill, about 4 or 5 days, would let you view Annapura range of Dhaulagiri range. excellent view from that poon hill lookout, especially early in the morning ie 6-6am. Only here for a short while. It is cold here though not as cold as kathmandu. A reason could be because it is so crowded because of the new year celebration. So will not be trekking. Below are the pics of pokhara from the hotel with some boating to a temple in the middle of the lake. And the last picture is that of what I heard is a traditional nepali meal.

Shibadog Turbocharged January 3, 2017 Share January 3, 2017 Local food and local beer. Surprised that local beer is served warm i have had a couple of beers with a locally based Gurkha. We were served warmed Tiger beer. I called it Tiger Piss. Good to know this preference is not unique to that guy I met. ↡ Advertisement
