Opinions, I know someone who has put a LifePO4 battery in his car. The claims are that it lasts much longer. Say this can tong 4 years. It actually worth the cost no?

How do you charge this?

It says 12.8V, which means 4.26V per cell. 3 cells in series.

Your car alternator, when engine running, puts out nominal 14V, which means 4.6V charging per cell. You cannot charge lithium cells with more than 4.3V per cell.

That's overcharging. which means the cells will be overheated and likely to explode.

No idea of how or can it work but I know companies have started to advertise for lifepo4 car ones.

If you have a special car that supports lithium starter battery and is able to adjust the charging voltage for lithium battery, yes, you can use this.

If you have a normal car that doesn't mention anything about lithium starter battery, please don't install it. The battery will explode and maybe catch. fire during charging.

It's the same as normal b&b cars that don't support AGM batteries. AGM batteries have a lower charging voltage. Those people who thinks they bought the "best" AGM batteries start to realize they don't last long. But they didn't know their car's charging voltage is different as it was too high.

Ya lo, if you are at live firing area and outfield, during the evening timing, those mozzies are the most aggressive and tons of mozzies flying around. Maybe need to burn mozzie coil then can keep them away.

just use normal lead acid. I use amaron and check it every few months with a battery tester. about $80, i DIY install. amaron last on average 3years for me. so 10year COE only need 3 batteries. $240. still cheaper and works. why would i want to pay more and try something that obviously cannot last 10years.

me too

actually 2 battery replacements in 10 years

first one came with the new car mah

So far only I used (or rather bought and asked workers to do) this type of rivets once - to mount a ceiling fan to a metal frame.
