In term of exterior, i am fine with the rawdness.

I cannot stand its interior.  It is worse than pickup truck (Hilux, Triton & D-max).

None of the pickup truck use stick shift for transfer case anymore.

The 4WD selector is an homage throwback, with mechanical linkage compared to electronic diffs in some  “4x4”

Using Jimny for rock/mud crawling doesn’t need turbo torque, but more of fine pedal modulation

gradient climb is another story 😄

Rather than homage, Suzuki doesn't have the capability to modernise it.

Its market is shrunk to India only.

It is a very basic car.

If it can only do 100km/h, it is worse than Perodua MYVI (that is on ole Toyota 4AT)🤭

Actually thix ride is very big in Japan and Taiwan also, with waiting time of upto 1 year for new delivery.  And i just came across a pov video that showed a Jimny moving at 160km/hr. It can definitely reach the speed, just taking more time maybe. Anyway those who buy Jimny would most likely not be beating it above 100km/hr, quite suitable for our roads.

But i also find 2300rmp vrry high for 80km/hr. My Superb can do 100km/hr at abt 1500rpm.

i think for 160kmh only the manual 5 speed version.

for the 4 speed auto, i think probably 140-50 kmh tops tops

Keep the Superb
jimny isnt for you

After losing EU, still need to wait 1 year.  Sibei Jialat.

It is not about ability to move fast.  Rather, it is ability to follow expressway traffic.

2.3k RPM @ 80km/h seems to be normal for 4AT.  Your superb is 7 spd le.  More gear to spread around.

To use it daily, must accept its rawdness (noisy & not so fast).

Otherwise, forget about it.

p.s. Jimny should be quieter than my previous MRS.

Another experience to share.

despite the physical size of the Jimny which is by all standards small, sitting inside the car will not set off your claustrophobic senses.

in fact, it feels much biggar than it looks when seated inside as a driver or front passenger.   To a certain extent, even as a rear passenger

i am 5”7 85kg and it feels comfy enough sitting behind.  (Probably not ifthe journey is a long one but SG where got?)

part of the reason is the sufficient height and volume also enhanced by a no fuss interior and the huge side windows plus flat upright windsheild.

machiam watching a wide screen TV  😁

Before it changed to commercial due to emissions also long waiting list.
