That's already very good.

My weekly training for Hyrox.... Only did 2x20 reps... Did 2-3 calisthenics exercise after 1k run, each exercise do 2 supersets. Then follow by next 1k run.

That sounds so shack...

Following busy dad and iron wolf training philosophy, just do as many burpees you can within 20mins.

Currently more limited by the pushup component. Also don't want to injure my wrist.

Mark Lewis calls Hyrox, physical education lessons for adults.

Actually not really, the run still ok, as I run 7min/km pace, to recover the heart rate.... It's the calisthenics exercises that pushes up the heart rate😅, so my 20 reps pace also quite well paced ... Focus on reps than trying to finish then fast.

I find running more effective for me than doing burpees when it comes to losing weight, esp belly fat... No difference in body shape when I only do burpees... but then again, I do only max about 30 and feel damn shag alrdy. These old bones...

I think most bang for buck weight loss is skipping rope.

Just do whatever keeps you moving.

It's a mental thing which is very military or meditative in nature. Everytime I reach less than half way I already feel like damn shack liao. I just walk up and down my gym 2 rounds to catch my breath then do another 3.

Some people can do 200+ in like that 20 min. With proper form some more.

@Ender I first saw the "MRI images comparison" on Instagram, by this lady Dr Vonda Wright. She also published a book - "Fitness After 40" - I'm reading that at the moment, haven't finish reading. can borrow the book from NLB.

As a middle age unker now my exercise regime is more for health purposes rather than improve sport performance.

My weekly regime, Jog 5k twice a week moderate pace, pull up and push up after jog. 1x gym weekly, 1x swim half an hour weekly and 1x 40 mins easy cycling weekly.

Goals are to maintain healthy and fitness level. Looks at the mirror still have the 6 packs 🤪

some of my exercise is to reduce my shoulder pain, reduce my knee pain/discomfort.

u exercise a lot bah. That's like 3 session cardio, 3 resistance (1 gym, 2 short calisthenics). Not even including the swimming.

I believe it is getting used to it. If a person from young till old always sleep 5 hours with no problem to function, then should be ok.

But if you always sleep 7 hours and suddenly can only sleep 5 hours, then maybe cannot survive. Lol

that's me

when I was younger, I can sleep longer

after 40, I cannot sleep beyond 7~7.5 hours, no matter how I force it, unless I am sick, taking flu medicines

now my body is like having a built in 7 hours alarm clock

2nd Gear

One thing strange with my recent strength (and weight 🤦‍♂️) gain is.... sleep apnea disappeared.

likely not causation, maybe some weird correlation....

hopefully body is not saving up for a grande finale   [angel]
