  1. As a professional in this field this thread is for those looking to enhance their health the right way.
  2. https://www.businessinsider.com/bryan-johnson-45-reduced-biological-age-5-years-project-blueprint-2023-1 A 45-year-old biotech CEO may have reduced his biological age by at least 5 years through a rigorous medical program that can cost up to $2 million a year, Bloomberg reported Bryan Johnson, a biotech founder, aims to have the body of an 18-year-old, Bloomberg reported. He and a team of experts started a program called Project Blueprint to unlock the key to aging. Test results show that Johnson has the heart of a 37-year-old, according to the report. Bryan Johnson is 45 years old but, according to a new report, his test results show he has the heart of a 37-year-old and the lungs of a young adult. Johnson is a biotech entrepreneur who hopes to game nature's course of aging and have the organs and health of an 18-year-old by going through an intense data-driven experimental program he's called Project Blueprint. According to a recent Bloomberg profile of the CEO, Johnson could spend up to $2 million on his body this year and there are early glimpses that show he may be on track to unlocking the secret to age reversal. Test results from doctors suggest that Johnson has the heart of a 37-year-old, the skin of a 28-year-old, and the lung capacity of an 18-year-old, Bloomberg's Ashlee Vance reported. The program is led by Oliver Zolman, a 29-year-old physician who calls himself the "rejuvenation doctor," and is supported by a team of more than 30 health experts, according to the report. While it's still in its experimental stage and is constantly being tweaked, the health program consists of an intense daily regimen of carefully curated supplements, meals, exercise, and a slew of bodily tests. Johnson's 5 a.m.-mornings for example start with two dozen supplements for all kinds of purported health benefits: lycopene, metformin, turmeric, zinc, and, for brain health, a small dose of lithium, among others. His meals, a mix of solid and soft foods, are vegan and restricted to 1,977 calories a day. He exercises daily, with three high-intensity workouts a week, and goes through blood tests, MRIs, and colonoscopies each month, Bloomberg reported. "What I do may sound extreme, but I'm trying to prove that self-harm and decay are not inevitable," Johnson told the outlet. All of his efforts in 2021 have amounted to what Johnson claims to be a world record epigenetic age reversal of 5.1 years. In certain aspects of his health, he's shown even younger signs of age. Doctors say he has the gum inflammation of a 17-year-old, and a device that tracks Johnson's rate of nighttime erections is like that of a teenager's, Bloomberg reported. Johnson also hopes to encourage others to follow his data- and medical-driven program by turning his relentless pursuit of youthfulness into a competition. Recently, he started a website called Rejuventaiton Olympics, which displays an "epigenetic leaderboard," ranking the 1,750 people in the world who are fighting against Father Time. Johnson currently stands in first place.

  6. Hi.., look like already have sometimes ago about this topic. but let discuss again about this with honest, reality and frankly speaking 25 years old or younger afford buy 100k car real or not? my thinking is simple. 1. when you complete degree or master or phd is how old? 2. if you study oversea, can consider "i'm 25 years old or younger and i afford buy 100k car"? then where you get money for oversea study? scholar? 3. if you get good carrier, is that real from your skill, or have relative in that company that help your career. the point is: - if someone buy car 100k, please talk/ tell the truth, something like you have nice car should suit with your personality :) - if someone keep said "ohh look i afford 1k car" but because he/she work in family business, is that real afford? Anyway, it is just a friday afternoon discussion :)

  9. Strange woman with cane strikes women in shorts at Ang Mo Kio market by Beh Yuan Hui NO short pants on the streets! A sexagenarian has been heading to the streets and caning women who wear short pants. The woman has been seen loitering at the market and hawker centre near some flats in Ang Mo Kio, Singapore. Holding a rotan in her hands, the woman would cane any female in short pants that she came across. The republic's Lianhe Wanbao reported that the sexagenarian would also scold the women as she caned them. "Why are you wearing shorts? You must be caned for wearing this," she said in Hokkien. On Thursday, the woman has raised her rotan on a hawker. The hawker, who was annoyed by the old woman's act, had attempted to stop her but was still whipped. Her mother saw this and went to her aid. The mother and daughter managed to stop the old woman and forced her onto the ground. They called the police later.

  13. Survey shows Gen Y S'poreans tend to job-hop, prefer younger supervisors By Lynda Hong, Channel NewsAsia SINGAPORE : Human resource practitioners need to adopt a different approach to attract and retain Generation Y workers, said the Singapore Human Resources Institute. According to its recent survey, 7 in 10 Generation Y workers aged between 19 and 30 think it is normal to job-hop, and they also want instant recognition for their work. But this poses a problem for human resource practitioners. "If we are not able to meet their expectations in that area, they may not feel committed to the position or to the company... and so they may leave after some years. That is something we need to tackle," said Joanne Lim, a HR practitioner. The survey also revealed that Generation Y workers prefer younger supervisors who are aged 40 and below, and they expect them to be open minded, understanding and easy to get along with. "If employers can better understand this group of people with regards to their value system, the way they would like to be seen and work, the way they want to collaborate with the older generation in the workforce, then I think we can better harness ways on what this (group of) Gen Y workers can bring to the business," said David Ang, executive director of the Singapore Human Resources Institute. The institute said companies should review their existing HR practices and adopt more flexible policies for this group of workers. - CNA http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/sin.../372342/1/.html ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- I personally find the range of 'Gen Y' too broad. Someone aged 19-20 would have a totally different mentally then say someone aged 29-30... other then that, does any Gen Y here agree about the job hopping part, having younger bosses and "instant" recognition?

  15. Since I'm rich, my kid doesn't have to listen to anyone Having money means you don't have to listen to what other people say, according to a parent from a well-known primary school in the East. This parent had openly declared on a forum that she had told her child not not to listen to the teacher because they had money backing them. "My child doesn't want to study anymore. Since I am so rich, I will let him be in school (sic) but let him play and call him (sic) not to listen to the teacher," the parent wrote. A fellow parent, angry by the comment, highlighted the forum posting to STOMP. "I have a primary school girl. I read with great disgust and disbelief when I chanced upon this parent's posting in a Primary school Parent Portal discussion board," wrote the parent, while wondering about the types of values being transmitted to the child. Other netizens at the citizen journalism site had echoed the STOMPer's views. "It is tragic that some parents are not imparting the right values to their children," lamented unclephoenix. Some other netizens had also blasted the "rich" parent's seemingly poor grasp of the English Language. "I'm very curious to know which school it is where they partake in STUDING insteas (sic) of S-T-U-D-Y-I-N-G," wrote eddievanh. Laughed GilaBoar: "Hahaha! I have a hard time trying to understand what the parent is trying to write! "All I can conclude is that this parent has no education too."
