Third Party Claim Query

Hi all,

 

Sorry to bump this topic. I was rear ended by a car turning out of a carpark on my left while I was stationary at a red light. His front left area was damaged while my rear right area was damaged too. We have both made reports. I have car cam installed so this should be a clear cut 100% liability right?

 

If I do not opt for courtesy car but get compensation for car downtime instead, how long will it take for the third party insurer to compensate me, and do I make the claim for car downtime through workshop or myself? His insurer is NTUC which I heard is very stingy and takes very long. I just hope to get my car back within 2 weeks and compensation within 3 months if that's realistic? (I do not plan to claim from my own insurance first)

sorry to bum this topic too. 

I was rear ended by a car at TPE, similarly I have front and rear camera installed and 100% I'm not at fault, the other party's insurer is NTUC also. I claim the third party insurance but my workshop still has not get the approval from NTUC to repair my car and arrange for courtesy car after waiting for a week. 

may I know how was your case settled with NTUC?

Hi, I filed a report at the accident reporting centre and went to the workshop immediately with the document and the car was repaired within a few days. Did not have to wait for approval.

I did the accident report and sent my car to the workshop within 24hour also, but my workshop (Toyota) insisted must get the approval from NTUC then they can start the repair, probably my repair cost is higher
