After getting stuck at various car park gantries including SGH and others, decided to go back to the old chip card which expires sometime in 2020.  such as waste of time guessing and wondering when ur cash card gonna work.

I suppose NETS started to make new Chip Cashcard again.

I just bought a new Chip Cashcard from 7-11 with Manufacture date 1-Jan-2019 and Expiry date 31-Dec-2023.

Is it? I thot they r stopping on chip cashcard already?

THE CATHAY Carpark only Accept Chip Cashcard. They do not accept Contactless Cashcard.

It is baffling after 5 yrs since I got my new ride that was fitted with the new IU that accepts the flash card, not all parking gantries except the new flash card. Even those old places I was aware 5 yrs ago are still not accepting the flash card.

I have given up a long time back, now only the chipped card is inserting into my IU.

Flash cards all refunded

Total flop on both LTA and nets ends.

I don't think they will stop chip cashcard as of now as there are still quite a number of old vehicles on the road using the old IU unit.

I think to most carpark owners wants to save $. They wont change until it’s fully implement. If not, it will be a waste of money...

Went to cheers and they said no longer selling old cashcard. However I managed to get a chip cashcard for backup at a 7-11 in town The staff mentioned that they just get the stock recently. Card is issued on Jan-2019, expired Dec 2023. Those still looking for old cashcard, try 7-11.

Seems like need to have a spare cashcard (one chip and one w/o) ready anytime [laugh]

Yes. I get my new chipped cashcard as spare. In case some old system just couldn't take contactless card

Hi Guys, After numerous emails and calls and writing to the nets facebook account, they have just sent me a replacement card with chip. They say will try to ensure that all carparks will upgrade to use the new chipless base card.

Means that they have acknowledged the problem.

The poly in woodlands cant recall the name also have this problem. They say bohlieu to upgrade the carpark. I had to LL go look for a solution to get out ...

Back in May, I was also stuck at Orchard Cineplex, the carpark only accept the old cashcard with chip.  Ended up have to reverse to a parking lot, exit to find a cashcard, luckily there's a 7-11 on the ground floor and it has the cashcard.   Bought it and quickly top up before exiting … still ended up paying extra 30-min block of parking because of all the hassle !   It think this is their scam of not upgrading the carpark.

Again I was in a old factory building along Depot Road, where the Kracher vacuum agent is located, also only accept cashcard with chip, this time I have a cashcard . . . whoa ha ha ha.. drive out without any incident

Singaporeans too easy to bully. Someone should just forcibly move the barrier up and exit. If they call police, hire lawyer and sue them for unlawful detention.

BTW I won't be the first one to do it. But if the trend starts I will follow.

Once happened to me and the Indian staff over the phone ignored my request.

That's when I realize the barricade was not that heavy after all, or either that I am strong.

Bought this from the 7-11 at Shell Punggol. Issue date 2019. Expires in 2024.

Noticed the works on the design, 'The Only Card For All Car Parks' lol.
