Lala81 Hypersonic March 6, 2019 Share March 6, 2019 There is a US Navy SEAL show on AXN. Whilst it's only a show, quite a few parts are realistic like how SEALs family lives and partner relationships are greatly affected by their work. Breakdown in relationships are almost inevitable and there is always fear that the SEALs will come home in a box. I won't want to be a partner nor a child of a SEAL knowing that there is a high likelihood of not seeing your loved one anymore and each time they go out on a mission, it could be their last, this kind of pressure can do without. As for the SEALs themselves, these guys live for high octane activities and the adrenalin that comes with it. They often can't adjust to normal lifestyle in their latter years or if injuries mean they have to be posted elsewhere. They are used to living life on the edge..... A lot of them may have undiagnosed traumatic brain injury from all the minor stuff they do in combat. Especially after they started iraq and afghanistan. Was watching a podcast with an ex-seal. He says there are some of them whom u will 100% say never commit suicide, but after a few tours, their personality starts changing.

One of the main reasons my cousin quit as a cop is because of the dead bodies he has seen.
Lala81 Hypersonic March 6, 2019 Share March 6, 2019 (edited) Not easy to see a dead body... Unless the fella is twisted. One of the main reasons my cousin quit as a cop is because of the dead bodies he has seen. It's not really just the PTSD due to war. These people are involved in mini blasts. Debris knocking on their head/helmets. Standing nearby the detonation charge to breach doors, grenades, etc etc. When they blow a door in the building they are searching for targets, the shockwave blows down the corridor as there is no way to escape. Now more and more evidence of these minor shocks (which aren't even classified as head injuries) show that these can cause you to have brain damage over prolonged periods. Even you work as a policeman at the police post also can see many dead bodies.

Lala81 Hypersonic March 6, 2019 Share March 6, 2019 Just like those WWE wrestlers...although entertainment.. But the risk and injuries are real. A lot of dangerous/dirty jobs have risk of obvious and non-obvious injury over years. American footballers, ice hockey/rugby/soccer players etc all have these types of injuries. What more MMA fighters. Then these things that happen in war even worse..

Angcheek Hypersonic March 24, 2019 Share March 24, 2019 Brudder, it could be part of psychological defence. They need the media to tell and sell "feel good" stories about country-above-self kind of stuff. So that everyone feel proud n patriotic, And soon everything is forgiven and hopefully forgotten.
