If i recall correctly, the original gold rolex worn by a high political officeholder which was presented to by Rolex , was a solid gold Datejust onjubilee in the early 50s to Eisenhower

Rolex does not officially pay celebrities to advertise its watches but instead gifted them with a Rolex when they were deemed “worthy” 
 Story had it that The first president who wore the day date was lyndon johnson who bought the watch becos Rolex did not want to gift it to him.

So the first solid gold watch don by a world renown statesman was the Datejust on Jubilee.

the Daydate came only second..... 

looks like dealers are going to take the opp to push the blue datejust 41 price up now.......muayhahaha

i remember some bro in here has the 126334 in blue? I had the dark rhodium one
