Nav14 6th Gear July 17, 2019 Share July 17, 2019 Cat B expected... 3 consecutive drops. All the Cat B cars are cheaper then before. But should not be so aggressive considering poor economic outlook. Pretty sure PHV operators are messing up again.

Mann123 4th Gear July 17, 2019 Share July 17, 2019 PHV is like a curse to Singapore car lovers :p Nobody buying Cat A cars ah? Still $2 now. Definitely something wrong with Cat B. just 25 more bid added 0000 to $ 2 now 20,000 +
Nav14 6th Gear July 17, 2019 Share July 17, 2019 PHV is like a curse to Singapore car lovers :p But these operators are very silly. They push up so aggressively within a short period knowing very well it will drop again once their buying is completed. Just like what happened when it came down from $48k to $34k. So why cannot spread out and buy gradually. Unless buffer just too big due to the $$$ they are making from leasing of these cars..
shearwater 1st Gear July 17, 2019 Share July 17, 2019 why this round cat A quota is 1623? last run only 1431, confusing..
Nav14 6th Gear July 17, 2019 Share July 17, 2019 (edited) Guaranteed that the PHV operators were behind the silly $5k increase in Cat B. Hopefully it is for only one round. Edited July 17, 2019 by Nav14

bamf 1st Gear July 17, 2019 Share July 17, 2019 Wah. Heng got my cat b last round. Quite crazy up 16% And the only reason cat A stay Low is because of the extra 200 coe from 2 bids back. Should be up next round also. Get ready for panic cat A buying next 2 weeks. Did say in last coe thread, last 2 weeks best time to grab those cheap cat B cars. COE follow stock markets. Past 1month stock market so hot. Unless trump go crazy and make stock market drop, can kiss Low coe bye bye. But certainly didn’t expect such a crazy jump....
Vinceng Turbocharged July 17, 2019 Share July 17, 2019 It's a given that Cat A will drop 5 to 10% due to the following reasons - 1) Many backlogs when COE was $26K last month 2) Many of the bread and butter cars have arrived, and are at the port 3) Taxis and PHV rental firms are still out of the picture Distributors will want to max out profit and will be conservative in bidding, with many bookings when COE was lower. Pretty much within my prediction (with 1st hand info fr within the industry) - 7% drop in Cat A Very strong bidding for Cat B. Are PHV operators back in the game? Yes, there are many PHV Opel Insignia waiting to be registered.

Mkl22 Supersonic July 17, 2019 Share July 17, 2019 Pretty much within my prediction (with 1st hand info fr within the industry) - 7% drop in Cat A Yes, there are many PHV Opel Insignia waiting to be registered. but next bidding cycle AUG-OCT. coe quota for catA will drop at least 20%. given that the deregistrations have decreased. Terence2112 2nd Gear July 17, 2019 Share July 17, 2019 AD never bid for me. Say because Cat B coe went up too high, hence no submission. Can like that ah?
Prataboy 3rd Gear July 17, 2019 Share July 17, 2019 AD never bid for me. Say because Cat B coe went up too high, hence no submission. Can like that ah? Which AD? They ought to have submitted a reserve price for you. Fair enough if it is lower than the final price and they didn't manage to secure it for you. But no bid at all? You should check if this "no bid" is considered one of the 6 bids in this case. ↡ Advertisement
