For the 1st time, confirmed cases is higher than suspect cases.  Yesterday, almost 4k new suspected cases.  Half of this suspect cases is from Wuhan while Hubei contributes 30%.  It shows that the situation in Wuhan and Hubei is long from over.  The rest of China may not fully develop yet.  Be extra careful.

In term of death cases, there are 66 cases of which 49 is from Wuhan.  As the number is almost the same as previous day, make your own conclusion.

For recovered cases, the daily cases has increase to 260.  143 is from Wuhan.  There might be data issue for rest of China.

Based latest data from Wuhan and rest of Hubei, fatality rate is about 4% and 1.3% respectively.  Based on what i know till now, it is less deadly than SARS but spreading much faster.

Due to lack of resources, there might be death cases that is NOT properly tested for this virus.  Fatality rate could be understated.

i dunno why the constant comparison of fatality rate with sars which is over vs wuhan which is ongoing.

sars fatality is over the entire period, while right now wuhan is still ongoing. who knows how many death will there be eventually, and only then would be better comparison of fatality rate between the 2 viruses.

Assuming a five day latency, and based on the number of deaths on Feb 2, the fatality rate is around 7.8%."

Conversely, the number of actual cases could be under-reported by up to a factor of 10 as compared to the official confirmed cases. 

Due to the  :

1) Rationing / shortage of test kits in the initial stages of the outbreak.

2) Overwhelmed hospitals / healthcare facilities.

3) Asymptomatic carriers not aware they are infected.

4) A significate portion of those infected assuming they have the flu or have mild symptoms and are not willing to see a doctor or visit a hospital. They will typically self medicate at home.

The more they compared between SARS and cornoavirus on the spreading rate and death rate, the more it would create panic among people. Since it seems like this coronavirus sound like more scary than SARS, based on the rate of spreading and how it spread among people?
