Just notice new Speed cam errected at Clementi Ave 6 in the direction towards AYE.

Speed limit 70km.

 

As at Sunday afternoon, already in action. With Camera flashing some cars caught.

TP always appear at that overhead bridge at Clementi Ave 6 de. So finally now they installed a speed camera there? But how come only installed one direction? Thought speed camera always for both direction de?!

for some odd reason, Clementi Ave 6 seems quite accident prone.

so guess enough statistics to justify putting a cam there. 

other side got traffic light cam iirc.

I use this stretch very often. Never saw any accident. 

Coming down from PIE is downhill, and cars will accelerate even when off throttle. I guess that's why they install a camera there. Good for revenue collection. Just like the one at PIE near Lornie exit. Right in the middle of a long downhill stretch with good visibility but no accidents (before the camera was installed). 

Whereas some places like PIE around Steven Road exits have lots of accidents and no camera. How can we conclude other than the cameras are for revenues collection?

this one will collect lots of money over these few months till people wake up and observe their surroundings. big big orange speed camera and signs also can miss. If its a cop on top, i understand.

too bad... dumb people deserved to be fined!

wah kao! I passed by there at least one or two times a week, recently notice I seem to be driving faster than other drivers, now then I know is because others slow down lah, am I going to receive some love letter soon? 🤪

Accident should be further up into the PIE area from Clementi Ave 6? Cause always hear accident happen at Clementi Ave 6. 😅

I was trying to find the speed camera ahead sign but seems still not up yet.

 

But the Camera I can double comfirm turn on liao.

Yeah at the point the car would have gathered max speed just coasting down from PIE. Got to remind myself to use the brake (and waste petrol) now....

many told me 70 can do 80 max before it shoots. 

But many dont say this is true ONLY if you dont upsize your tires.

not sure but seems like it.. looks portable and the flash light also quite small vs the usual Gustov unit

Not only that stretch is tempting to drive fast lo. Nowadays any roads also can see cars driving fast, dont know what is happening? 😅

Such portable speed cam, seems like they can easily change the position anytime they like? Maybe another day you will see the speed cam move further down the road? Lol.
