Salah bagged his 43rd goal in European football in Thursday's demolition of Toulouse, surpassing Thierry Henry's record as the Premier League player with the most-ever European goals for a single club.

It is early days but Jurgen Klopp knows it. “There’s so much more to come,” he declared, following Ryan Gravenberch’s best display in a Liverpool shirt so far.

Gravenberch was central to Liverpool’s 5-1 thrashing of Toulouse in the Europa League on Thursday night, scoring their fourth and given the license to go forward thanks to Wataru Endo’s tireless, and equally impressive, shift.

“I really like him as a boy and as a player,” added Klopp. “It’s really nice to see how much he starts believing in himself again. That’s obviously very important for each player but for a young player especially. So that’s cool.”

There were some concerns, therefore. Reason one: if he was so good, he would have been a priority. Reason two: Bayern Munich surely wouldn’t let a 21-year-old midfielder leave for just £34.2m if he showed even just a hint of promise.

“I’m so happy for him that he starts really enjoying his football again,” Klopp said on Thursday, once more hinting at an unhappy Bayern spell in which Gravenberch started just three Bundesliga matches last season.

“His first touch is incredible, his acceleration with the ball. He’s not even halfway there. The good thing is that he has a lot of things to improve.”

Bundesliga top scorer Serhou Guirassy was watching Liverpool last night, as they beat Toulouse 5-1.

Guirassy has been one of the stories of the season in European football. Having played just eight games in the German top division, the 27-year-old has scored 14 times. Remarkable.

Sharing a video of Wataru Endo’s headed goal against Toulouse, Guirassy tags in his former Stuttgart teammate, claiming “I learned how to score from you my friend.” Love it.

Gravenberch is no newbie... he started for Ajax and played for Bayern Munich before landing at Anfield... not many 30yr olds has such a CV, let alone a 21yr old. To put into perspective, these 3 clubs are top 6 clubs in terms of UCL/European cup titles

If he is Singaporean, not sure if he has completed NS and Uni

:D

Caicedo’s dream move is already turning into something of a nightmare. Making eight Premier League appearances for Chelsea to date, starting seven, he’s conceded penalties, been at fault for goals, and been left unable to single-handedly boss midfield as he had repeatedly done so memorably for Brighton.

Of course, he is not the only one to blame for the Londoners’ poor form. But that won’t stop Kopites smirking at his misfortune. Meanwhile, the fact that Lavia is yet to even make a matchday squad, let alone play, for Chelsea because of injury won’t be lost on those of a Reds persuasion either.

So we didn't get Caicedo and Lavia but got Endo as our no 6 instead.

What a bargain the Japan captain has turned out to be!

We almost wasted 111m for Caicedo and 58m for Lavia!

:D

Thank you Chelsea for saving us from a disaster!

Most ideal replacement for Salah.

He is more like a Wilfried Zaha - you know what he is going to do but cannot stop him.

Moises Caicedo gets away with carbon copy challenge Curtis Jones got a red card for

How on earth was Moises Caicedo NOT sent off for a challenge that saw studs strike a Brentford player’s ankle?

It’s utterly baffling given that we, as Liverpool fans, had been told that Curtis Jones’ tackle on Yves Bissouma, accidental or no, was worthy of a red card upon review by VAR, despite Simon Hooper initially awarding a yellow card.

The Premier League is just rife with officiating inconsistencies at the minute, isn’t it?

Got Jota got goals.

yup watched how he beat the defenders before shooting.

ok, if he can win matches, then i won't complain. But he'll need to keep it up 😆

only watched highlights...

gomez again shows his lack of concentration. Should not have put in tackle in the mid field knowing once he missed it, keller will be left one on one.

gravenberch dominated the mid field and orchestrated many attacks.

but TAA also at fault. If not becos he didn't keep up with the CBs, would have offside...

not the first time TAA played opps onside...

but good thing he kept out a sure goal... to make up for it.

He was our best finisher before his bad injury and was out for a really long time.

When he was injured last season, Pool lost so many games

and didn't qualify for the champions league.

Once he gets his fitness back and match sharp again he will be flying.

Nunez, Jota and Salah will try to overcome Forest's 5 men defence supported by Gravenberch and Szoboslai

Macca anchors the midfield with Tsimikas and TAA taking the two flanks. A fit Konate takes the RCB spot alongside VVD.
