AIRSIM overseas data SIM card discussion

Was recommended AIRSIM a few years ago and did not take it up then as we had Covid shortly thereafter.

Now revisiting travel data options and thought of AIRSIM again.

Appreciate feedback from existing AIRSIM users.

Thanks. 🙏

Depend on the plan you bought. Only the first 500MB or 1GM is normal data speed daily. After that, super slow. Can't even watch youtube. Only good for message or Whatsapp.

yes, 500MB or 1GB daily limit. once that limit is exceeded the speed is 128kbps [sleeping]

I am using it regularly.... good for email, grab, map, whatsapp, etc... for me 500mb per day is more than enough.

No problem using data in all the countries I visited. Recently, I subscribed to Simba with free 1gb roaming and since both are esim, I switch between them.

eSIM most convenient, just scan QR and install.. after use just delete.

esim, u dun need to delete unless your esim list full. Airsim u can reuse it every time for oversea trip.

Yea but usually these eSIMs are temporary and only valid for certain period. It's redundant after it expires.

ya, am considering airsim cos can reuse and buy data via app when needed. don't need to use sim ejector tool to poke every now and then.

actually airsim is same as esim with physical sim card, you still have to purchase the data package of each country you go. Good for phone that dun have dual sim slot.

Nowadays most esim roaming providers offer lower rate.

Depends, I am using Simba and Airsim esim. Simba is post paid and valid till I dun pay while Airsim will expire if no activity for a yr.

Ya understand, supposed to use the word "airsime" instead of "airsim". Been using their service ever since the world opens up. Till now no complain.
