Hi all, I'm planning to buy D9 soon. Would like to check if the parts (eg brake pad, aircon filter etc) can be replaced at regular workshops? Or need to go to BYD to replace? Are their parts costly?

As the local D9s have only been on the roads since Oct 2024, it would be hard for you to find an answer here as nobody would have gone through any air con filter or brake pad changes given the relatively short lifespan/mileage clocked on the roads.

As our warranty is 10-year long and dealers may potentially nitpick on any 'missteps' just to void the warranty, I for one would perform any changes at the dealership just for the peace of mind.

So far, I have installed a power bank for the in-car camera at Sime Motors, and I must say that the price is reasonable with market rates. With Harmony also having their own workshop now, we owners also have more choices to compare prices before pulling the trigger. So, would recommend to only do it at the dealership.

Thanks for quick reply!

1 more qns pls, does it mean if you buy D9 from Vantage, you will have to go to Vantage for servicing or you can go to Auto Harmony / 1826 / Motor-East service centres?

Ok I have asked around and what I gathered:

1. Vantage partnered with 1826

2. Harmony partnered with MotorEast

3. Denza servicing currently only at Vantage and Harmony.

Wah piang, the over 2.2 tons Maxus Mifa 7 is now available with Cat A!!

  • Power:            108KW (145 horsepower)
  • Torque:           350Nm
  • 0 - 100 kmh:   14.7 sec
  • Top speed:     170 kmh

For a mere $9k saving, absolutely not worth it.:a-t2622:

Cat A-friendly Maxus MIFA 7 joins SG lineup

Building on the success of its 180kW (241bhp) MIFA 7, Cycle & Carriage (C&C) has now announced the launch of the more affordable Cat A COE-friendly Maxus MIFA 7 electric MPV in Singapore.

The MIFA 7 Cat A variant retains the signature spaciousness and hallmark features of the Maxus lineup, such as luxury interior finishes including premium leather upholstery, advanced safety systems equipped with driver assistance features, and a state-of-the-art infotainment system.

Its seven-seater cabin features ample legroom and flexible seating configurations, with sliding doors offering easy access. A low ground clearance of 152mm allows the very young and the elderly to enter and exit the MIFA 7 with ease, and it offers 270 litres of boot space, even with all seven seats in use.

But of course, this variant has had its electric motor optimised for Cat A compliance at 108kW (145bhp) alongside 350Nm of torque and a top speed of 170km/h.

this mifa 7 is an absolutely shitty buy. I went to take a look and also test drive it a few months back. C&C basically stripped the car bare . even the most basic feature - electric car seat adjustment for front seat is missing. in this modern day, who the hell still use manual adjustment? you have to top up 20k for their premium package before these are available

It's an extra 5k for the ventilated seats and electric memory drivers + electric passenger

not 20k

COE is the most important.

Can’t even get a shXXbox on the road without one

likely the MIFA9 low spec model will be next grab’s favourite

Anyone updated their D9 to V1.3 software?  I updated a few days ago from V1.1 to V1.3 as I never get the 1.2 update notification, and there is still no ICC.   I contacted Harmony and they told me there are some issues for this V1.3 software and they are working on another update.  So disappointed.

Yes, mine works fine.

The only 2 updates are some nap and baby mode. Not really useful in my opinion but good to see that at least from time to time, Denza is providing OTAs to freshen up the car.

@benoit16 @Sindion  thinking of making a dedicated thread for the Xpeng X9 as there's a newer 2025 model that was announced. Maybe as owners both can provide some feedback on how the X9 is doing so far in terms of features, ride, software updates, etc.

According to LTA registration records, there should be around 97 new X9 owners up to May 2025.

ICE cars are heading the way of diesel in Singapore — declining resale and rising operating costs due to policy shifts.

For now, hybrids are a solid middle-ground (for the next 4–6 years) since they save on fuel without the stress of limited EV charging infrastructure. But in the long run, as EV tech matures and newer models aren’t drastically better than older ones, used EVs will start to hold value better. ^^

@benoit16 Thanks for the offer, however, would like to stick with MCF for the time being and track the X9. Will start with a new thread soon and see who wants to contribute to the discussion.
