So has anyone successfully gotten the eRefund back to the TnG eWallet?

I still have not got mine after 30 days.

I submitted on 30 May. I just checked the refund status and it states "In Progress".

I am also not optimistic about it as they will definitely serve Malaysians first. We are only a very tiny fraction of their volume.

To get it (refund)  back is a bonus.... If cannot (get refund), then we will just have to accept it.

Likewise, there are a lot of Malaysians with expired Autopass card with some balance S$ in LTA. To get a refund from LTA is also a hassle for Malaysians who are no longer working in SG.

I will wait and see. Cheers.

Maybe TnG never expected the causeway to open

and stock up more cards for the thousands of cars

in SG waiting to go into MY.

:D

Poor planning.

If their planning was good no

3.20 to S$1

There's also a chip shortage to contend with... these type of cards not difficult to manufacture but if you don't have the components then you simply can't produce enough stock... anyway we don't know why but their own Malaysians also will face the same shortage issues...

My suggestion is to buy the EZ-Link x TnG card in Singapore and get someone going in to help you top up lor... that's the only way now it seems... I bought one card only thinking that going far north would allow me to buy TnG cards but the shortage is far more severe than I expected... so next time I will try to buy a few EZ-Link x TnG cards and top up for my friends lor... a few have been asking me about these cards...

To solve this problem

Expect a ban on selling cash cards

to foreigners soon.

Just like the chicken.

Be patient, it took me around 6 months. Could be faster now with the e Wallet thingy. Mine was credited to a MY banking account.

One other thing is the MySejahtera app - no one asked for it... heh... not one soul... I entered various aircon shopping malls from Melaka to Penang and no one asked for it...  I checked into 4 different hotels and no one asked for it either... BUT I stepped into a restaurant in Cameron Highlands and was asked for it... so I was glad I had it ready for my wife and myself... so do get it prepared...

Sure... no one asked about VEP either... but caveat here is that I have installed the VEP on my car in 2019 already... but there's no physical mechanism or SOP to check whether you're registered or not at the checkpoint... totally zero... looks like it's not going to happen anytime soon...

So yes you can go in with peace of mind without having registered...

If you're still worried, just get registered online and wait for an appointment... carry the email acknowledgment with you... for just in case... more to fend off policemen asking for coffee money... so far never got asked... I think it's less and less of a problem these days...

Chicken ban is one month only... today their Finance minister say hopefully less than one month... I sense a backpedaling in the Force... ha ha ha... anyway, there's no need to buy from Malaysia, just buy our own EZ-Link x TnG cards lor... I mean it's S$10 vs RM10... but hey you get a card which you can use right? Just tumpang someone going in to get your card topped up lor...

@Beonhah Drove in last month, covered East Coast to west coast.  Never registered VEP so far.
Brought along printed copies of Vaccination proof but not asked to show at all.  Still need to be masked up indoors and outdoors (although there’re some who didn’t wear while outdoors).
In fact, I didn’t pull up my mask once as it was sweltering hot, in a rural outdoor area (when a local uncle reminded me ).

@Voodooman Wow! You must be right!

I contacted my Malaysian friends and they told me one of their friends send me a screenshot and he checked today.

Request made in April 2022 and it's still in progress as of today!.

It seems like must wait long long.

See Screenshot.😅

For those interested, I asked at 6-7 petrol stations from Ipoh to Penang to Melaka, all TnG cards sold out at petrol stations and Watson's stores... my conclusion is sold out throughout Malaysia... I was there for 2 weeks 31 May to 13 Jun...

Yet the cards are available in Singapore 😂
