Luxury has bigger battery, fridge, driver monitoring, massage seats and table for backseat passenger. Test it and see if you find the difference worth it. I wouldn't say the leather difference is a big factor.

Luxury is not full genuine leather, some areas are synthetic, but you get to choose the brown leather while premium has only got black available.

If you got kids and often need to wait in the car for their lessons to end, the massage seats and fridge are really great accessories to enhance your comfort in the car.

Hi @newtocars, welcome to MCF!

Look at the following BEV rides in Cat A territory as a family B&B:

image.thumb.png.65dda483a24e079cbdf29621afc177e6.png

The current sales price normally includes free servicing for X number of years, so there's no additional cost to you on this. To maintain the manufacturer's warranty, the ride needs to be regularly serviced at the AD workshop at suggested kms travelled or time period - which ever comes first. Since one has already paid for this, just take advantage of it and don't bother with a 3rd party workshop.

If you're interested in the J6, would negotiate with Vertex about including free servicing with the non-guaranteed CoE offer, the same as guaranteed CoE offer. Last time I checked the cost breakdown of the J6, Vertex is making triple digit margin on the OMV. In an all cash deal, Vertex is making $37.5k or 147% of OMV .

All these EVs price is the current list price after the 12k dropped COE?

@Ake109 Sorry I missed your message. Thought that @Tianmo and @inlinesix had taken the words out of my mouth and was sufficient.🙃 But if you wanted to check if I'm a Dalit of India or a 2nd class citizen in Singapore, the following information will help clarify.

Ford Escort ---> Subaru Forrester   XT ---> Mercedes Benz A 180 ---> Now looking for a new BEV or PHEV

Had another Ford before the Escort, so have had four rides to date. All ICE vehicles. The fifth ride is going to be either a BEV or a PHEV, depending on what's coming out on the market. China EV & Battery Co. have put the pedal to metal with many new models and options to consider. Old Chinese saying: "May you live in interesting times" is true.

Would never have thought that having a ride in Singapore indicates if you're in the elite/snob status.

It's not about class or status, but about whether u have experience with buying and owning car in SG since u are sharing a lot of your research on that topic.. I gather some of your earlier experience with buying and owning car may not be in SG context?

For me, it is informative to see the technical info u compiled on the various EVs available.. though I dun really scrutinize the financial numbers u shared.

Thanks bros for the great advice.

anyone has concerns about servicing from these players, esp since they are relative new or previously PIs? What shld I ask and insist - eg that free servicing cover labour cost - hear that some PIs will chop you via labour cost if things spoil even if warranty covers parts.

aion v vs c10 anyone got any views?

Even if they decide to chop you left right and center. What recourse do you have? Unless you import the parts and forego the warranty, you don’t have a choice. So not much point asking. No one here can tell you otherwise.

That's bordering on an ad hominem fallacy. It was a direct question that only required a direct answer.

It just gives others more room to understand where you might be coming from

I think others and myself are puzzled and am wondering how did u buy 4 cars and not understand:

1) What COE rebate level means

2) How to calculate interest payment for car loan

3) Financing rebates only requires one to take bank loan, not inhouse loan. In fact car salesmen wont even mention inhouse financing unless your specifically ask for less than 60% or 0 downpayment

4) Salesmen can often waive certain rebate requisites to seal a deal. None of the terms are set in stone.

5) Dealer margins aren't fixed or calculated easily, it's often used as a buffer for COE bids or to give you better overtrades.

Lastly, it seems contradictory for you to always calculate full cash price ignoring all rebates for cars in every thread. Yet harp about the horrific interest rates of inhouse financing. And when you do calculate interest its using worst case rates that are not even accurate or current.

One who pays full cash doesn't bother himself with interest rates at all. So i wonder if your calculations are for yourself or for some perceived audience.

I get it that I might be fun to 纸上谈兵 but at least try to verify information and calculations before issuing labels to various parties.

@Tianmo Yah lor. The A180 has a payload capacity of 545kg to 565kg. Enough to carry a few of my pui pui kakis.

Was surprised and a bit disappointed that a much bigger vehicle such as the Aion V has a lower payload capacity of 410kg.

It's exactly the same as how a virgin keeps talking about how many whores he had sex with, with details he found on the internet, and so proud that he paid $200 for the GL150 because the OKT said list price $200.

You know, if you know, you know. [laugh] [laugh] [laugh]

@steveting99 How did you derive to 410kg? The gross weight is 2350kg while the kerb weight is +/- 1860kg so the payload capacity should be a decent 490kg.

Wah lao! Thanks for pointing the errors in financing calcs. Wont be considering financing and trade-in the future and will defer to you as you seem to be good at getting a good deal. 👍 Was wondering why VinCar / EV Hub wont match the fantastic financing deal that Tesla offers for its future customers. Example is the 1.65% pa (3.15% EIR) from OCBC here: https://www.ocbc.com/personal-banking/campaign/teslaev or 1.68% pa (3.5% EIR) from DBS here: https://www.dbs.com.sg/personal/promotion/mp-car-tesla

Should have clarified that I've bought used. The logic is that one gets a better deal due to the depreciation and can time the purchase depending on CoE.

For new the Aion V ride, there's a few prices to consider: (1) guaranteed CoE and (2) several non-guaranteed CoE prices. With the buffers priced in based on current CoE. New pricelist comes out every twice a month to take into account the change in CoE. So, the pricelist is never static and generally tracks CoE.

To play the CoE game and if one thinks the CoE trend is going up, can lock in the price for the guaranteed CoE. Let the AD (VinCar / EV Hub) worry about getting the CoE with their buffer. VinCar / EV Hub may have some temporary CoEs in hand as there's a 6 month validity from the time of successful bid to registration.

Else, if one thinks the CoE trend is going down, can go for the lower non-guaranteed price, at $8k lower bid value.

Yah lor, dealer margin is dependent on what the actual CoE price is going to be. Can go up or down. Doubtful that dealer margin will go below 70% to remove the junior money jiāngshī (吸血鬼) rating. This is because the OMV ($31k) wont change much and the cost basis before CoE is still around $42.5k. Everything above the costs basis is CoE + dealer margin. You are free to disagree with me on this.

The dealer margin will be maximized if one goes for the guaranteed CoE price and the actual CoE is at or below the current price. This is what happened recently when Cat A CoE dropped by $1k from first round of bidding in November. Maybe VinCar / EV Hub will try their luck and say they have another five more attempts to see if December/January CoE bids goes lower to increase their dealer profit margin.🤑

Speaking of this thread, would like to ask if you can take over to post useful info on the Aion V? If VinCar / EV ever pass you the high voltage battery curve or safety test certification on meeting GB38031-2025 on the high voltage batteries, do post here on this thread. Believe as an owner of the Aion V, you're entitled to have this important information.

The answer to this for all car dealers is simple.

Tesla sell only cars. They dont take a commission from the banks (or relatively small incentive).

e.g., Tesla DBS 1.68% HPA, Money Jiangshi AD DBS 2.28% HPA. That .6% HPA difference is the sweet sweet commission the ADs are eating.

Most Bros here bought the Luxury? anyone actually bought the premium?

The different is only $7k,  but other then the different in battery size (range), and the material used for the seats, the rest are good to have stuffs. So is the $7k worth it?

Between the JMEV Elight, Aion V, and the dongfeng 007 Cat A model, the V seem to be the most suitable option, so to P or to L, thats the question. [:p][laugh][laugh]

@Tianmo 7k for the improved range, massage seats, fridge is well worth it. For me it's a no brainier decision.

Years ago I paid the same amount just to get ventilated seats in my previous car.
