In term of margin %, both cars are about very close.

@inlinesix OMV for both the RAV4 ($38.1k) and Sealion 7 Premium ($38.5k) are close.  Both in Cat B territory.

Margin by TMAP/Borneo Motors on the RAV4 in an all cash deal is $49.9k (130%) of OMV.

Margin by Sime Darby/Vantage Auto/AD on the Sealion 7 Premium in an all cash deal is $37.5k (97%) of OMV.

So the delta between TMAP/Borneo Motors and Sime Darby/Vantage Auto/AD is $12.4k. Thus TMAP/Borneo Motors really know how to drain more of the life savings of hard working and unsuspecting Singaporeans. The fangs of TMAP/Borneo Motors money jiāngshī (吸血鬼) 🦹🧛‍♂️🧛‍♀️ go deep. 

All cash price for RAV4 is $276.9k, while Sealion 7 Premium is $228.4k

Price difference between the RAV4 (TMAP/Borneo Motors) and Sealion 7 Premium (Sime Darby/Vantage Auto/AD) is $48.5k in an all cash deal. Most of this is due to VES and EEAI rebates that Singapore government gives for BEVs against ICE - about $37.5k. 

Even if the RAV4 had the same features (it doesn't) and tech (it's inferior) as the Sealion 7 Premium, it's hard to justify the additional $48.5k in costs for owning a Toyota. I'm not sure that badge is worth it. Particularly when the RAV4 is inferior in terms for features and tech compared to the Sealion 7 Premium. The only logical explanation is one enjoys being cheated by paying more and getting less. 🤡

2. Z: JPY 5m
