I also know about this brand when my friend change it on his merc. I was like simi lai eh this brand. Lol.

Honestly so far I have only used hankook, Bridgestone and toyo. Nvr try "local" brands like toblerone or black hawk down (which I saw many stickers on fnf hiace vans). Come to think of it, I've used hankook when they first launch in Sg back in the early 2000s. Quite skeptical then but went tracking with it. In fact I think their performance tyres are great.

Any review on this tyre?

IS it good?

Advise

I have seen it on many PHVs.

Whats your driving style?

Honestly, despite the Tourador memes, Tourador, Blackhawk, Rotalla, Westlake, i believe are more than sufficient for sg roads. There is no rough cornering dry or wet to speak off here, unless you are that kind of PHV driver...

When these tyres are able to be imported, they would have at least some degree of usability in domestic market before being imported by local distributors.

Speaking of tyres, there is this relatively unheard of brand which I just saw online, apparently owned by Michelin?

Uniroyal RainSport 5

https://www.uniroyal-tyres.com/car/tyres/rainsport-5/

It's probably overkill for sg wet weather (unless you live in Bt Timah flood regions lol), but I suspect this one is as safe as you can get if you are kiasu about aquaplaning.

They are a very old brand. Mostly found in Europe.

This 1 not extreme. Remember the first generation eagle F1 that come out. Like 20 years ago.  The V-grooves thread is super noisy but super popular also🤣

Cheapo and expensive tyres all drive the same when used in dry weather.

When you need to do e-brake in wet weather, that is where you see the difference. And that difference is all it takes between a close call and a trip to the workshop.

P.S. Yokohama sucks in wet braking. I gave up completely after using two different models of Yokohama.

Ok la fair, but then again during torrential rain most drivers would keep below 80kmh. At 60 70kmh there is no real opportunity for wet grip testing to speak of too...

Actually really depend on how hard u drive and how demanding are u on the noise level.

Some so call 'green' or economic tyre . Its really lasting but the rubber is very very hard. Got very poor dry grip. Some cases the tyre can spin on mscp. (Dry)

Some tyres are poorly make. The wear and tear is very uneven. Creating waves. The sound is like bearing damage when u drive.

But in general u are right. The quality of cheap or budget brand esp from China have evolved and improved alot compare to 10+ years ago.
